Ristorante La Ripetta In Piano di sorrento

La Ripetta will remain in our hearts. It was exactly what we wanted. It's not luxurious, it's modest, but with soul, clean, and the sea view is superb. You could move there. For us it was also a meaningful vacation, but the staff there and Toni together with his family made us feel at home, safe and protected. For us it was ideal, you have connections with the train, bus and Fery. It depends on you how you organize yourself and what experience you want! We wanted to discover everything on foot, to fit in the budget and to enjoy everything the area has to offer. We succeeded and we had an excellent week! Always informed, recommendations and when we needed them, they were there (including a small problem with the car) or short trips left and right. You absolutely have to eat at their restaurant. The food is superb. Top 3 best food from all 4-5 locations seen from Naples to Capri and Amalfi. At Ripetta and Toni I hope to see you again one day. Thank you! Highly recommend!

We arrived to a very warm welcome by Carmella & Salvatori (Manager/owner) & their service was second to none throughout our stay, including taking us to the station on occasion when too hot to walk. We had a drink on the terrace off the restaurant, which had the most spectacular view over the beaches, marina & restaurants. Though hotel & room was basic, it was definitely clean & tidy with fresh linen & fresh towels daily.We were thrilled to find we had a small balcony with the same spectacular view as the terrace, on which we enjoyed a drink & amazing sunsets daily. We would highly recommend based on service & location which features an elevator just a short walk away that takes you down the cliff & up for two Euro each way - to public & private beaches, restaurants & access to ferry's. We also loved it was just out of the tourist center with a beautiful village feel & lots of lovely locals. We will definitely be back! Trevor Kougias & Coleen Bowen Australia

Oh my days, this hotel is amazing... Initially I thought we were in for a night worse than a tent in the outing rain from the reviews, however they couldn't be more wrong... When we arrived in the entrance we were warmly greeted by staff and quickly given our room keys. I was in a group of four and we have so far been very pleased with our quality of stay. There have been no rats, insects, dirt in the shower, rubbish on the floor and the pillows were not like rocks. Me and my friends were enthralled that we could watch the football on the TV. The beds were clean although the ladder for the bunk bed was as unstable as Trent at right back. Luckily, we were able to use the chair as a quick way to get down, although one friend disapproved. The view in the morning was outstanding (see photo). The breakfast was delicious if you like bread and after a cool night from the air con we were very refreshed... We can't wait for the rest of our stay here, and would love to come back soon🤩

A positive experience that I will definitely recommend and return as soon as possible. Clean rooms with a stunning view Excellent staff, we felt pampered throughout. I highly recommend dining at their restaurant; the food is excellent, and special mention goes to the pizza!

Simple hotel in Sorrento with a great view of the sea. Dinner was served on a panoramic terrace every evening. It was very cozy. You could walk directly from the hotel to the beach in the old town. On the way back, there was a lift that took you up for one euro. Lovely place.

The hotel staff is very nice, helpful. But the restorante staff. 2 girls working, The first day we came here restorant staff was very nice, they bringed us lots of cheese sausage, but today we didn’t even get a small cheese bite, and we had to eat from our friends leftovers. And the first day we came they there making coffee from a real coffee mashine. Today they said Go to the coffee automat and drink coffee from there. And they went outside to smoke or something, left the big door open and everybody that was eating breakfast had to smell Tabaco. Maybe in the future I would like to visit here again

Very good attention, friendly staff...a little far from the station but on the day of departure we drove to the station.

Asking for dinner is not worth the price/value ratio. The bread intended for breakfast was not fresh even on the first day, it was dried for three days, on the 4th day they managed to serve fresh bread.

I expected the hotel to be very bad after reading many reviews but it wasn't as expected. Firstly, the rooms are very basic and dated and in need of renovation but they do the job. My room didn't have a light in the bed area so we couldn't see much. It is clear that they have fitted beds where they can and it is quite compact in here with the extra beds. The air conditioning didnt worm either so we had to open and close the window often to maintain a comfortable temperature. The view where my room was faced another hotel with no view of the see but this is something out of their control. Secondly, the staff at the hotel are really friendly and any service issues get resolved very quickly. The food at the hotel is a basic level but good quality, I had a tomato pasta and chips with meat which was very basic but to be expected for a school group which is what I was at the hotel with. The dinner is better than the breakfast. Breakfast did not feature any hot food, it was only croissants, packaged toast, nutella and jams spreads and also cake. The drinks are juice, water, a tea or a coffee. I had the coffee and it was bitter but drinkable. Overall, I would not stay here again unless it was renovated but it was a livable stay for 2 nights.
