Ristorante La Pergola In Nardò

Good restaurant overlooking the Santa Maria al Bagno seafront. We went to this restaurant for lunch or dinner several times during our vacation and we always had a good time. The appetizer of the day was excellent (shrimp salad), the mussels in tempura, the tuna tartare. Of the first courses we tried the linguine with clams, with seafood and the penne alla corsara, good but slightly below par compared to the appetizers. Of the second courses we particularly appreciated the tuna steak and the grilled cuttlefish. Excellent wines to pair. If I really had to find a point to improve, I would advise the kitchen not to put only half a scampi on a dish that includes scampi as an ingredient. At least one whole one should be put in. Another slightly sore point, but not the restaurant's responsibility, is the busy road on the seafront that distracts a bit from the magic of the place facing the sea. In any case, I highly recommend the restaurant.

Over the years it has lost a bit of its shine: penne alla corsara is always good, but apart from the empty clam shells... little substance in the pasta. Fried food needs to be totally revised, rubbery and hard. The Egyptian mussels are saved, very tasty and abundant. The price is not exactly cheap, on the contrary; but do you want to put dinner in front of the sun drowning in the sea?! The only question is this: is it worth it?

Great experience, exceptional dinner. It was recommended to us and we all really enjoyed every dish. I recommend the purple shrimp tartare and the mixed fried food, but the others I tried were also very good. Fair prices. You eat facing the sea in the beautiful Santa Maria al Bagno area. I highly recommend going there and booking.

Stunning setting, good wine list and just with locals and tourists alike. We ordered the fish of the day which comes cooked to your liking and the Frito misto which is not to be missed

Great food, great service and amazing views for sunset.

The restaurant has a really nice setting close to the beach and it looks clean and pretty. We went with our baby and the waitress that took our order was very nice and friendly. We ordered an octopus salad, a seafood pasta, a frittata mista and orechiette pomododo for the baby. The food was great and our baby loved the pasta. We had two issues which for me ruined the night: the food took too long and the whole dinning was about 2h which when you have a baby and its late can be a bit hard (we arrived at 7.30 and left at 9.30). The biggest issue was the rudeness of some of the staff, one opened the bottle of wine and didnt serve the wine, another put the food on the table without giving us cutlery or new dishes (this happened twice) one time the wait threw the dishes into the table and left them there for us to distribute. They were always angry and stressed everything we asked seemed a nuisance (besides the initial waitress which seemed to be putting out fires). Not sure we will come back again

Il titolo fa riferimento ad uno dei loro piatti top (va prenotato) uno scoglio imperiale composto da prodotti di alta qualità costo 70 euro ma ci mangi in 4 tranquillamente... riporto la foto.. e ... posso confermare sotto ci sono anche le linguine. Polpette di polpo 10 e lode. Vini con onesti ricarichi, servizio cordiale e gentile. Prezzo assolutamente in linea con la qualità offerta forse anche un pelo basso. Consigliatissimo
