A museum of cinema, a temple of food! The staff is attentive and present, but never intrusive. The food quality is superb. Portions are more than generous. The prices? Much less than a fast food restaurant. Two first courses, two fried foods, two desserts, and a bottle of water cost €57. What more could you ask for?

Second Half in Matelica: When Cinephilia Meets Gastronomy Crossing the threshold of Second Half is like entering one of those spaces where time expands, where the walls of an ancient historic building whisper stories of bygone eras and intertwine with the vibrant energy of the contemporary. The atmosphere is intense, almost pulsating: the minimalist furnishings coexist with architectural details that speak of centuries. But the real stroke of genius is the "terrasse" that opens in the heart of the building: a space almost reminiscent of a cloister, with that intimate and contemplative quality that only monastic architecture can provide. It's one of those views that transports you—the portico framing the sky, the sense of protection and suspension from the chaos outside, as if you were in a time bubble suspended between past and present. Here, eating under the stars becomes almost a ritual. The young owners have transformed what could have been a simple restaurant into a true sensory experience, where every element—from the soundtrack to the spatial layout—expresses a vision. The cuisine is striking for its deliberate originality. The purple cabbage and potato flan with saffron fondue is a captivating dish: the purple cabbage, reduced to a delicate purity, rises from the plate with an almost ethereal consistency, while the saffron fondue—creamy, generous, with that spicy note—creates an irresistible contrast.

The place is beautiful, the cinematic reference evident not only in the name but also in the decor. Delicious food, fast service. Friendly and courteous staff.

Everything was excellent...it's rare that they can surprise you. It worked out. Thanks to the chefs.

A charming setting, an old cinema/theater. You'll dine in a beautifully furnished room, featuring posters of the best and most historic films in world cinema, from "Dances with Wolves" to "Roman Holiday." You'll find photos and artistic images of great actors, as well as a fully painted wall. Old film sockets—the best. The service is prompt and courteous, and the food is quality, with sophisticated and modern dishes, as well as those inspired by local tradition. It's family-run, the clientele is distinguished, and the atmosphere is relaxing.
