The staff are very friendly and attentive, the menu is extensive and offers a very good quality/price ratio, and the quantity of dishes is also very satisfying.

I chose this restaurant for a gluten-free dinner in Castiglione del Lago. We dined in the outdoor garden despite the strong wind and the threat of rain, but we were assigned a seat on the covered porch, so we had no problems. We chose all dishes from the AIC menu: two appetizers (king carp roe and zander salad) with two main courses (capitone skewer and porchetta-style carp). I found all the dishes very hearty, with a distinct, obviously seafood-inspired flavor. I really enjoyed the zander salad, which was very fresh and flavorful. I was less fond of the capitone skewer, which was stringy and too salty. We accompanied everything with a potato baked under the ashes. For drinks, we chose a glass of white Ascanio (highly recommended) and a glass of rosé. The service was attentive but not pushy. The bill was around €75 for everything I've listed.

We stopped for lunch, as we were also guests at the nearby hotel. We had a great time. The food was really good. Plus, the view of the lake is truly breathtaking. I recommend it.

The food was really good, the products were of the highest quality. It's just a shame we couldn't get a view; they put us in an open-air corridor where there was a lot of coming and going of customers and waiters. In any case, it's a restaurant I'd gladly return to.

The view from the terrace is beautiful, overlooking the lake. A stunning sunset. The food was good, though not particularly special and too salty. The lamb was overcooked and lost its appeal in the heavy, autumnal sauce. But the pasta was handmade and cooked al dente, which is a plus. Most of the service was friendly; we saw many faces at our table. The regular waitress was helpful and friendly. However, we did notice a few major errors that could be improved. Perhaps because this place caters to many tourists, the terrace was full, and the restaurant finds it difficult to manage this. Even though we had already emailed in the morning about a reservation, stating that we wanted a table by the lake and were traveling with a baby, we were seated at a cramped table that no longer accommodated a baby. It was in the middle of the terrace, without a view of the lake. There was also no high chair available. We had deliberately planned an early evening so that our 1-year-old baby and 3-year-old daughter could manage. Unfortunately, everything took far too long, and we sat for over three hours for pizza for the kids and a simple primo and secondo for ourselves, plus dessert. The order wasn't taken until an hour later, and certainly not in the order they arrived. The food wasn't delivered at the same time, and they forgot to bring one of our children's pizzas. It arrived just as the others were almost finished. Furthermore, there was an extremely rude waitress who suddenly walked past the table, grabbed the bottle of olive oil, and put it on another table, without a word or a glance at us. Bizarre. Later, she brought our desserts with oversized spoons and only my husband's and my desserts. They were placed right in front of my husband, instead of politely asking for them and giving them to the right person. The three ice creams from the freezer for the children didn't arrive until fifteen minutes later... A shame, because this restaurant has potential. If the service were well-organized and trained to be customer-friendly, and the food were a bit more refined, we would return. Now we absolutely advise against this place.

Good place with good food, the service is fast and fair. Even without a booking they have accepted us to dine in there, they can communicate in English and the views are great.
