Fantastic food at great prices. Friendly staff and great service. A good selection of dishes, pasta and pizza to choose from. Excellent.

A large portion of steak arrived. We asked for medium rare, and it was very tender and delicious. We ordered it with red wine for €5.50. There was a €3 cover charge. It was excellent. You definitely won't regret it. They even offered a small limoncello at the end ☺️

Breakfast is a key part of my day. Something I discovered while in Italy is that there were very few places to sit down and have a large breakfast. Ristorante Buca Niccolini ended up being exactly what I was looking for. I made it a point to come here two days in a row with others from my group. Maybe it was because we arrived right at opening but there was plenty of seating available. The prices were affordable, the portions were large, and the staff were some of the friendliest I met.

A wonderful discovery, very close to the Duomo. The meat was very tender, the dessert excellent, and the waitress was super friendly and very professional.

Lovely stop for apertivo and some halloumi fries. Fun place mats, wonderful server. Classic Florence with the Duomo in view (but not too busy or expensive).

Ristorante la Bottega Di Morello

26/04/2026: A lovely restaurant serving traditional Tuscan cuisine. The food is excellent. The wood-fired ragù is amazing on polenta but is even better with tagliatelle. The service is friendly and attentive. The location, on the road from Sesto Fiorentino to Monte Morello, is charming.
23/04/2026: Returning from a circular trekking tour on Monte Morello. I won't deny that during some of the more strenuous stretches of the trek, my strength was the thought of reaching the end so I could have lunch alone at this restaurant I'd been eyeing for a while. Luckily, I was able to try their tagliolini with blackthorn, mushrooms found only in spring. The lamb with potatoes in a claypot, cooked directly in the wood-fired oven, was sublime. Unfortunately, I couldn't choose from the wine list since I was alone, but trust me when I say there's a lot (I'm a sommelier and have worked in the wine world for years). I can't wait to return. P.S.: The location, staff, and relaxation were top-notch. Congratulations.
