Ristorante Jia Yuan In Milano

My partner and I discovered this little gem thanks to The Fork and had a really great time. The staff is young and helpful. The dishes are numerous, with a wide selection, including vegetarian options. The portions are decidedly generous, so much so that we overordered, accustomed to the quantities at other restaurants, and the staff let us take away the (exceptional) eggplant we had left over. Good quality and fast service. I recommend the side dishes and the delicious edamame ravioli! We'll definitely be back! 🌱🤎

The vegetarian dishes were surprisingly delicious. I wouldn't recommend the chicken rack, as it was too boneless and lacked meat. There was no table charge for lunch, so the value was decent and I'd definitely go back to try other dishes. I just really recommend that if you're into Hunan cuisine, even if you use a tablecloth and a mouth cloth, you should definitely have napkins on the table! Do tablecloths really go with Hunan cuisine? It's so spicy that most people would definitely have a runny nose. Do you have to wipe it with a cloth? It's so inconvenient.

After getting off the train and walking to the hotel, I passed this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was tasty and the price was reasonable.

We visited this restaurant based on the reviews, but unfortunately, we weren't entirely satisfied. The location isn't anything special, but that's not a problem. It's small, seating 25, and quite basic. The staff is very discreet and friendly. The menu offers many dishes, including vegetarian options, and is reasonably priced, but the quality isn't noteworthy. Some examples: I ordered the steamed shrimp ravioli, and I struggled to pick them up because they stuck together or to the container, and when you separated them, they broke. The salt-and-pepper shrimp had a seasoning added (too spicy) that made them very spicy—it was hard to eat. The sautéed mixed vegetables arrived with just a few inches of broth/water. The rice noodles with vegetables were flavorless. Nothing to say about the spring rolls and rice dumplings with vegetables. Honestly, based on the reviews, I expected a different quality, but I've eaten better in less renowned places.

We came to this place because all the Italian options in the area were either closed or didn't appeal to us; what a surprise! We loved it! Food made to order, discreet, respectful, and attentive service. I'd come back if I lived in this city. P.S. We forgot to take photos... but the ones in the other reviews describe very well what you get when you order. The dishes are generous, clean, and well-presented.

Very good and authentic food, very friendly staff

Perfect place to eat authentic Hunan Chinese food. Try the rice bowls and dumplings, they're truly delicious. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. I recommend it.
