I can’t recommend this place enough. I stayed here for two nights and loved everything about it. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s also in the most perfect location in Menaggio. It’s only a 5-7 minute walk to the ferry/ c-10 bus stop. You’re less than 30 seconds by walking to many good wine bars, restaurants, and shops as well.

Small, unpretentious hotel that is worth the stay. Our room was spotless. King size bed with 2 separate mattresses. Magnificent view of the lake just in front of a small pontoon. We had our evening meals at the hotel. The pasta is excellent, I recommend the pizzocheri. The manager is very pleasant and available. Superb stay.

Hay un viejo dicho sobre comer donde comen los lugareños y este pequeño y acogedor restaurante no nos falló. La encantadora nonna dirigiendo el lugar nos apretó en durante un almuerzo ocupado a pesar de ninguna reserva. El servicio es lento, pero sabiendo que todo estaba recién cocinado, nos sentamos y disfrutamos del vino de la casa, que era una ganga absoluta. Ambos platos de pasta estaban listos, simplemente presentados pero llenos de sabor, textura y amor. Nuestro anfitrión era tan encantador, que en realidad sentiste que esta era su casa en la que estabas comiendo. Menaggio es un pueblo encantador, menos turístico que algunos otros cercanos, pero para todo el ambiente, comida, etc, esta experiencia fue una de las mejores de nuestro viaje.

Un lugar ideal para cenar en Mennagio. Generosas porciones de platos bien preparados a precios bastante justos. Mis espaguetis con aceite y ajo eran lo suficientemente grandes como para ser una comida entera y costaron 10 euros. Un filete de ternera muy bonito, con setas era de 22 euros y una botella de brunello 2021 para 28 bien complementó la comida. Es un lugar pequeño, así que haga una reserva o podría ser rechazado.

Didn’t stay here, just ate dinner. One of my favorite pasta dishes during our trip. I got the sweet/spicy pepper pasta, wife got the ravioli’s. Both were great.
Wish we were in menaggio longer to come back again and again!

Had to lose a star for the stairs, sorry. Nothing can be done about it so it's not something the hotel can improve. The time are clean and well maintained. Service is lovely and friendly. The location within menaggio is completely perfect. The value for money is off the charts.
But damn those stairs. Would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat

The best place to stay in Menaggio. Sweetest staff and clear rooms. Amazing views, good location and good service overall. Although the staff member didn’t speak English, she did a great job helping us understand stuff in Italian. Sweetest person ever ❤️

Wanted to share a quick review that the food at Il Vapore is fantastic. It was one of the best meals we had in Menaggio and also the most affordable. We are vegan/plant-based eaters and had plenty of options in great tomato-based pasta dishes with veggies, delicious veggie sides, fantastic minestrone soup. The serving sizes are great as well. The service can be a bit slow just given that its a lean operation, so recommend getting their early and/or ordering all dishes at once. While we didnt love the house white wine we ordered, the prices on the house wine were so reasonable it was not a big deal. Lots of locals eat here and I understand why!

Brilliant little hotel with very nice restaurant downstairs. Conveniently located in the middle of Menaggio on lake Como. Rooms are not huge but very clean and comfortable. Great value for money.
