Group tour in the footsteps of Padre Pio ❤️ While we were on the tour in the footsteps of Padre Pio, as the organizer, I ordered lunch for all the guests at the Ristorante Il Sannio in Pietralcina! I must say we ate really well. Friendly staff And fair prices. I was satisfied and will gladly return. ❤️😘☀️

I was there two weeks ago, a convenient restaurant thanks to its strategic location, casual dishes and courses for tourists, affordable prices, all in all a good stop before visiting Pietralcina.

We sat down at Il Sannio expecting the usual touristy "bite-and-run" menu. Instead, we found the exact opposite: sincere cuisine, made with quality products and a deep respect for local tradition. From appetizer to dessert, every dish spoke of the local area. Selected ingredients, expertly cooked, and just the right portions. You can tell there's no rush here: the flavors are clean, crisp, and there are no shortcuts. The staff deserves special mention, too: helpful, cheerful, and never intrusive. They know how to advise, explain the dishes with passion, and make you feel like a true guest, not just a customer. We really appreciated the prosciutto served as a second serving at the center of the table—a very professional and unexpected gesture! Il Sannio is proof that true hospitality still exists. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for substance, tradition, and friendly service after visiting the village of Pietrelcina. P.S.: Ample free parking, strategic location, considering it is close to the entrance to the village and a few steps from the convent.

I think it's one of the nicest restaurants in the area, and the food is better. The menu is touristy, with touristy prices, but the quality of the food and preparation is superior. The interior isn't particularly well-kept; the style is still very dated, and not at all up-to-date. The exterior, however, is much more welcoming and relaxing. I recommend this place and booking in advance.

Excellent restaurant when I go to Pietrelcina I always and only go to Sannio.

Everything was excellent, highly recommended. Excellent value for money, huge parking lot, and very close to the center.
