Of the restaurants I visited during my food and wine trip to Valtellina, I'd rate this one first. The location is exceptional, with a terrace overlooking the valley (it's a shame it rained), but despite this, the interior is also beautifully decorated, with a large window overlooking the valley. The dishes were excellent (the slow-cooked pork cheek was like butter). The wine list was fantastic. The service was professional and worthy of the setting.

I always come here when I'm away for work. A sure thing. Refined atmosphere, excellent quality ingredients, a varied menu featuring traditional dishes alongside more sophisticated options, all of excellent quality. Personally, I think I've eaten, and I repeat every time, one of the best cuts of beef ever. And I always order it again. Plus the bresaola, including the horsemeat, is exceptional. Truly courteous, impeccable, and efficient service. Highly recommended!

Oh my word! What an amazing Gem of a restaurant to find in Northern Italy. We all know how good the Italians are at doing food, but when they combine that with a heartfelt welcome, fabulous tasting food and a genuine passion for sharing their talent for making your meal the best it can be, you know you are in for a treat. A restaurant that has been serving great food for 42 years and continues to be excited at the prospect of entertaining new guests realy has to be on your bucket list. Introduced to an amazing red wine that went with every course and polished off with a grappa from the same grape, combined to produce a fabulous evening. I’m 48 years old and just had the best meal of my life. The ambience was amazing. The staff was perfect. And the food was exceptional. Kudos to Il Poggio for creating the most perfect dining experience.

The restaurant is very close to the Retici Balzi Wine Hotel. I had an appetizer of typical Valtellina cured meats and sciatt. For my first course, I had pizzoccheri, and I must say I was very satisfied. The view and location are beautiful, and the service is very friendly—a truly beautiful mountain restaurant!

23/10/2025: Excellent agriturismo! We ate wonderfully and in generous quantities! The set menu featured many local specialties. The ingredients and cuisine were truly excellent! The service was also attentive, friendly, and very fast! The place is very welcoming and definitely even better in the summer! Well done!
06/10/2025: Magnificent experience! Culinary, friendly, natural, delicious, generous! We even brought back leftovers for another meal! Everything was provided! Wine, water, no lids! 40 euros, a bargain for the quality and quantity!
