I stumbled upon this place by chance. The food is delicious, expertly served, and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Recommended by Leo from the real estate agency, it proved to be an excellent restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty, accompanied by a wide selection of quality wines. The service is excellent and relaxed, perfect for relaxing and romantic lunches. Recommended!!!

We came here on a recommendation from our hotel and were pleasantly surprised. We were given a table with a stunning view of Palau's harbor, where you can clearly see all the lights and boats as it slowly gets dark. A magnificent spectacle. The restaurant is in the more luxurious, high-end segment, where you can enjoy quality, and where the staff knows which wines pair best with which dish. The 'crudo di mare', raw seafood, is highly recommended. You won't find fresher seafood.

We had a brilliant time at Il Vecchio Pirata and visited 3 times during our holiday in Palau. Excellent food and wine, amazing views (reserve a table closest to the sea!) but best of all the staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly with our kids. We’d love to return one day!

A very charming place due to its location and view. Once we arrived, they made us wait 10 minutes because our (reserved) table wasn't ready. Once we were seated, the service was slow and inattentive (except for the older waiter, who was very kind and attentive). We had the prosciutto as an appetizer, which I wouldn't recommend for the quantity/price. It was good, but a bit pricey. For our first course, we had the Paccheri. They were very good, but the quantity was small. The seafood sauce was quite dramatic, but the pasta was not very good. Overall, I'm not disappointed, but the price was high for what we received.

Fantastic location directly on the sea with beautiful views and shelter. The food is beautiful and delicate. Perfect restaurant for those of you who want good food and an exclusive atmosphere.

Magnifico…. Atmosfera rilassante, ottima scelta di vini e cibo veramente ottimo. Finalmente un ristorante che non se la tira dove si mangia bene. Che dire….Tornerò sicuramente…

13/07/2025: We went for dinner and to watch the sunset. It's a beautiful and elegant place, but the food didn't meet our expectations. We ordered a buffalo with shrimp tartar. The mozzarella didn't have much flavor and it was literally four small pieces with a shrimp on top of each one (the shrimp was very tasty). We then ordered a bluefin tuna tartar, which had more nactarin, or so we suspected, than tuna, and the size was mediocre. The selection of cold cuts and cheese was acceptable. Two glasses of wine, a water, and an acceptable dessert also came to a bill of almost 80 euros, and we were left hungry. It's worth saying that we may not have ordered the best dishes, as the pasta looked very good, although it wasn't particularly abundant on the plate. I think it's a place to watch the sunset and have a cocktail only, as there's also a DJ playing music, and after dinner there was a disco. The views were incredible, and the sunset was magical.

29/06/2025: Good evening everyone, This restaurant is near Porto Rotondo, with typical Sardinian cuisine of meat and fish, we opted for the Fish one, fresh products, mixed appetizers and grill. All very good, recommended for both families and single couples. Greetings
