We stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way to Florence, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city — peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully serene. The staff were incredibly welcoming/accommodating, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. We’d return in a heartbeat and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends!

A peaceful haven with untapped potential Relais Il Canalicchio is a place that enchants with its beauty and breathtaking location. The splendid view of the Umbrian hills is truly a panacea for the spirit, and the tranquil, characteristic atmosphere makes your stay a truly relaxing experience. The food is good, and the restaurant's rustic, elegant setting contributes to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. However, a certain sense of decay can be felt, partially obscuring the property's great potential. With more careful maintenance and greater attention to detail, Relais Il Canalicchio could achieve excellence. It would be a real shame not to fully appreciate this gem, which deserves to shine in all its beauty. In short, it's a place I recommend to those seeking tranquility with family and children, good food, and unforgettable views, but with the understanding that some aspects of the property could and should be improved. An unbelievable Umbrian getaway in your own castle-town. Romantic and quaint with excellent staff and breathtaking view. A little too isolated to walk to a cafe, but luckily the restaurant is 1st class and does breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Also you are close enough to pop off to Todi, Perugia, or a winery for a day trip. The place has 2 pools to pick from and a day spa with reasonable prices, although we didn't have the time to book a treatment in. This place is a gem!

The property is very charming. Breakfast could be improved considerably. Furthermore, we were not informed either before or during check-in of the additional cost for using the locked kitchenette, which, frankly, you expect to be included when booking an apartment.

Beautiful and spacious rooms. Welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. I'm not giving it 5 stars overall because we were disappointed by the restaurant, which wasn't up to par with the rest of the property. Despite this small flaw, we recommend it to everyone. We'll most likely return for more relaxation.

A 2-day family experience. Everything was great. A magical place. Simone and his staff were very attentive and helpful. Excellent breakfast. We will definitely be back.

Ideal location for those seeking relaxation, tranquility and silence are among the main features. The staff is kind and cooperative. The restaurant is good. Due to lack of time we were unable to try the spa, but the pools are clean and in ideal positions. Definitely worth returning!

Hotel in a beautiful location, on a hill with a breathtaking view, with nothing in the surrounding area! the structure is part of an old renovated medieval village. The road to get there is not very comfortable. Large rooms with classic, very dated furnishings. Windows and mosquito nets need some maintenance. Internal telephone does not work, bathroom with dated accessories. Good service. A 4-star relais where the SPA is subject to payment with reservation and the swimming pool is not available in early May... other services are not available. Internal restaurant with good cuisine, possibility of dining outside with a spectacular view; good service and mediocre wines on offer. Overall an interesting facility.
