Ristorante Il Falconiere In Cortona

I absolutely love this hotel. Loved it if I have to tell the truth. This summer we returned and I felt like a category B customer. I felt the staff was a little rude. In the bar near the swimming pool and in the reception area. And a shame. It seems that if you are not Italian you are a second choice customer. Furthermore, I didn't understand how it is possible that there is no buggy shuttle to go to the villas at the bottom. If I had crutches or wheelchairs, I couldn't move. It was almost 40 degrees and we had to walk in the sun. It was impossible to use the swimming pool near the villa for 1000 of bees. And no one even cared. Because we also had children. Anyway, I'm not coming back anymore

Excellent restaurant gastronomique menu confectionné à partir d’ingrédients locaux. Le menu Voyage en Toscane (165€) est excellent, sur la demi douzaine de plats un seul était un peu trop salé à mon goût. L’accompagnement des vins (80€) est parfait avec uniquement des vins de toscane et de ombrie. La salle donne sur la plaine de Cortona, elle est plutôt agréable. Le service moyen plus pour un restaurant de ce type ( serveurs avec chaussures qui pourraient être plus propre, le maître d’hôtel parle très vite dans un anglais avec un accent, déroule ses explications sans vraiment s’occuper de la bonne compréhension par le client) . Les clients de l’hôtel viennent également y déjeuner en short et claquettes car il n’y a pas de dress code ce qui est dommage pour ce type d’établissement.

Amazing. Stayed here as part of our honeymoon road trip through Greece and Italy in August 2023 and this was one of the favorite parts of the trip! Restaurant is fantastic, scenery was peaceful and beautiful, great location for day trips throughout Tuscany. Close to Cortona for some evening dinner + drinks in the city itself, highly recommended!
