Ristorante Il Desco In Verona

Pro's: Good location, Ambiance inside restaurant, clean, orderly, professionally-trained staff who are quite attentive and accommodating Challenges: Food is average. I have dined at many Michelin 1 and 2 star restaurants throughout Europe. Il Desco food was very good quality, well presented and well prepared but it lacked appeal to the taste palate and thus memorability. We choose 4 courses but the 3 wine pairing option (there was no 4 wine pairing option). So, one of our wine selections by the sommelier was off: the second and third course needed a different choice for what we ordered. You would think that for nearly 140 Euros for 3 glasses of wine over the same 4 courses that the sommelier would be able to process that challenge. Would I dine here again? Probably not. Would I recommend it to others? Probably not. I would recommend other dining options in Verona.

Amazing experience. I've had the best salmon of my life. True family-run restaurant with sophisticated but yet not pretentious food. Pre-opera menu serves its purpose perfectly.

Spectacular experience in this Michelin star restaurant. As expected in these places, impeccable service, multi-course menus and emotions at every course. Thank you for maintaining high standards and for making us enjoy things you don't eat anywhere else. Well done.

Spectacular culinary experience! From the moment you walk in, they greet you with a warm, welcoming smile. The restaurant setting is elegant and rich in culture. Each dish is a pleasure for the taste buds. This was a great choice, and we will surely be back.

Beautiful intimate restaurant with exceptional fine dining. Service is to the expected Michelin quality, polite and unobtrusive. The dishes are an art, individually selected plates beautifully presented and with exquisite matching of flavours and textures. An a la carte 3,4 or 5 course menu are matched by similar tasting menus reflecting the restaurant's history. The wine list is expansive but the sommelier expertly guides you through to enhance your personal experience to your budget. A lovely experience on every level.

Excellent meal, deserves better than its star....I have experienced 3 stars that are much worse

Everything perfect, excellent dinner

Having ordered, we waited an hour for our starter. Our waitress was efficient but cold in her approach. Having ordered a recommended bottle of Sicilian merlot at 150 euro, I found it fizzy. I complained to the semilion, saying I thought it was corked. He told me it was carbonated and this was to be expected. He told me that as it bred, it would improve. It didn't. He decanted it at my request. It did not improve. A fizzy red merlot from Sicily.😅 I got no satisfaction as the staff were getting aggressive, so I paid and left.

Grazie davvero per quest'esperienza. Nonostante il ristorante sia molto raffinato e metta un po' di "soggezione", il titolare ti mette subito a tuo agio. Piatti decisamente raffinati e pieni di sapore. Tutto eccellente. Avevamo un coupon di 5 portate e ogni piatto era abbinato un calice di vino. Il sommelier super gentile e ne sapeva davvero a pacchi. Siamo stati molto bene... A parte le sedie un po' scomode e i tavoli un po' bassi, ma se essere scomodi era il "pegno" da scontare per mangiare così bene... Be va benissimo così. Complimenti a tutti.
