When planning our trips to Italy I look for dining experiences. We booked a reservation for this dining room months in advance (party of 3). We arrived at the designated time for our reservation and were warmly greeted and seated. Reservations with this establishment are recommended. Three set menus for the table are offered and if none of them are deemed suitable, you can choose 3, 4 or 5 course tasting options from the ala carte menu. For this evening we built a custom 5 course tasting menu option from the ala carte menu. Each course was plated fabulously and described passionately by our servers. All servers made a point of highlighting the preparation and inspiration when presenting the courses. Every course presented was exquisite and they were consumed as passionately as they were presented. All were excellent. Our menu selections had not included "the Egg". When the course arrived at our table it came compliments of the Chef. They wanted us to experience one of the house specialties. Happy they did as it turned out to be one of my favourites of the evening. Everyone was absolutely fabulous at this dining room. The staff was busy but was always attentive and extremely accommodating. This was an excellent evening. Thank you to all. We recommend this dining room

Service: • Excellent! Attentive and polite, but not intrusive. Food: We opted for the self-assembled menu. The food was good, some dishes were even very good. However, that's to be expected in this price range. Compared to other one-star restaurants, however, I've had better. The fish was sometimes cooked a bit too hard. Overall, the food was good, but honestly, I expected a bit more. We opted for the wine pairing with five glasses. However, I have to say that—given that it cost almost as much as the meal—it was a bit disappointing. Sometimes the glasses were very underfilled. What's also a shame: When you assemble the menu yourself, you always have to make the same selections for everyone at the table.

Evening event during Vinitaly 2025. I didn't take any photos, alas, but the presentation is definitely of a high standard at every course. From appetizer to dessert, it was a great sensory experience. In particular the sense of smell: I even liked the aromas/smells emanating from some courses more than the taste of the dishes themselves, which were all satisfying. And the location...???? The vaulted cellar where we had dinner is spectacular. Intimate, quiet, perfect for the occasion (business dinner with GD buyers). Luckily I didn't pay, because the cost is certainly high and not affordable for everyone. Exactly like the service received, high and discreet. A wonderful experience that I was lucky enough to live!!

Beautiful location in the center of Verona, gourmet food, excellent service, average food, excellent wine selection, I recommend!

The story continues, from Father to Son. Il Desco, definitely one of the best restaurants in Italy.

Great experience! Compared to other restaurants of the same level, it does not overdo the experiments but manages to balance traditional tastes with a few, very successful, bold combinations. The service is very professional without exceeding formalisms. I appreciated the whole tasting but if I really had to look for a flaw I would say that the egg, although good, could be a little heavy for more delicate stomachs and compromise the rest of the dinner.

Hospitality, service, location, food... everything perfect. Some really exciting dishes. Very positive experience. Price obviously high but adequate. Absolutely worth trying

Locale molto bello che si trova in centro storico: arredato con ottimo usto e molto particolare che merita di essere visto. Si mangia in modo divino: i piatti sono ben fatti, combinati bene, ingredienti di grandissima qualità...spettacolare l'uovo e il loro salmone. Personale gentile e preparato: i vini sono spiegati bene ed abbinati con maestranza, Consigliatissimo!!!

Cenare al "Il Desco", ristorante stellato Michelin, è sempre una piacevole esperienza. Fin dall’ingresso, siamo stati accolti con grande cortesia in un ambiente raffinato ed elegante, dove ogni dettaglio è curato alla perfezione. Abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione per vivere appieno l’esperienza proposta dallo chef Matteo Rizzo, e devo dire che ogni portata è stata una scoperta. Ogni piatto era un equilibrio perfetto tra ingredienti di alta qualità e creatività. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: il personale è attento senza essere invadente, sempre pronto a consigliare con competenza, soprattutto nella scelta dei vini. Il Desco è un ristorante dove la passione per la cucina si sente in ogni piatto e dove l’attenzione al cliente rende la serata davvero speciale.
