We ate on Christmas Day. The menu wasn't what I expected. The appetizer included stuffed mussels. I tried one and felt the filling was undercooked.
The first courses were seafood ravioli, which had practically no fish, but something creamy... I didn't like it. The paccheri with mushrooms were good. The second courses weren't bad.
The waitress, Angela, was definitely perfect. She was full of energy, quick, precise, and helpful. Well done.
The price was excessive for what I ate.

Il Caminetto is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Cabras. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, with attentive and always smiling service that makes you feel truly welcome. The dishes are a tribute to Sardinian tradition, prepared with the freshest ingredients and expertly presented.
The fish is extraordinary: authentic flavors, perfectly cooked, and generous portions. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in presenting each dish and the chef's ability to enhance the flavors without ever weighing you down. The quality-price ratio is also excellent.
I highly recommend Il Caminetto to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable gastronomic experience in Cabras. I will definitely be back!

We chose it because it has eels on the menu and were satisfied. There were eight of us and we were greeted kindly and cheerfully. Everything was delicious, well-cooked, and plentiful. We ordered something extra, and in fact, we had two mixed fried fish and calamari left over, which we asked to take away. Smiling and joking, the waiter echoed our joke: "Nothing goes to waste," and added that they used to have people to whom they gave the leftovers of customers who knocked in the morning asking for them, but now the customers ask for them too...
This bitter joke doesn't detract from the quality of the restaurant: excellent table linens, cleanliness, and everything was excellent. Above all, another waiter, not the same one, thanked us for our cheerfulness.

I booked the restaurant without mentioning my disability, and my companion carried me up the stairs. However, the restaurant is actually perfectly accessible from the back, so if you're in a wheelchair like me, don't worry about going in—just let them know so they can let you in via the ramp. The restaurant is classically furnished, welcoming, and spacious. The staff is very professional and puts you at ease. We had pasta with bottarga, which was very creamy and tasty. I had mussel and clam soup, and I have to say it's very rare to find a restaurant where the mussels were cleaned so thoroughly. The soup was truly delicious, and for the first time in my life, I managed to finish it. Next, we had fried fresh calamari. They were incredibly tender, very flavorful, and beautifully floured, not at all greasy. Surprisingly, we also had dessert: seadas, which were also delicious and crispy, not at all greasy. Recommended? Absolutely.

You feel a bit transported to another time, but that, along with the excellent fish cuisine, is precisely what made it so charming for us.
We stopped here twice and enjoyed excellent meals both times.
The cold appetizers are highly recommended; we particularly enjoyed the sweet and sour pickled skate.
The service is unobtrusive but very attentive.
If you're in the area, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Very nice atmosphere with a patio and outdoor tables, very kind and professional staff, impeccable service, in addition to a very varied fish and meat menu. The tagliolini al nero in seafood carbonara are a must-try, a unique delicacy!!!! Highly recommended!!

It's been a few years since I've been back here. I have to say, the quality remains unchanged—that is, very high. Everything is delicious and fresh, and the staff is always top-notch: kind, attentive, thoughtful, professional, and friendly. Could you ask for more? I don't think so!
