A wonderful place! We stayed there after skiing up Gran Paradiso. The food is fantastic, and Giocino, the manager, caters to your every need. We had to leave early in the morning to reach the Rifugio Benevolo in time for good snow conditions on the descent. An early breakfast was possible. We would definitely come back! Grazie mille!

I tried the restaurant and... it was amazing! The quality-price-service ratio was perfect, and the location is truly breathtaking. I'll be back as a guest to experience the hotel service. Parking is available, restrooms are well-maintained, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Definitely worth returning. The room was large and comfortable, the dinner excellent, and the breakfast plentiful, with options for all tastes. The owners and staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. It's one of the few hotels that's even more beautiful in person than in the photos on the website. The location is spectacular, waking up in the morning and stepping out onto the balcony is a truly breathtaking experience.

Rifugio Chaligne

03/07/2026: The route is always on a rough road up to the refuge from the start to the finish. It's a place with a wonderful view, friendly people, good food, I recommend it.
08/06/2026: Climbed by mountain bike.... from Aosta 15 km of asphalt up to the hamlet of Buthier (going up to the left shortly after passing Gignod) the road becomes a dirt road with excellent surface and asphalted sections and in about 5 km you reach the beautiful refuge just below 2000 meters above sea level... you can still continue for about 2.5 km up to the tza de Chaligne at just over 2200 meters..... in total about 23 km... with always constant and never exaggerated slopes.... perfect surface and great views make the climb by mountain bike really pleasant 👍🏻

05/04/2026: A pleasant hotel, well located for ski touring. Half-board is reasonably priced. The food is excellent, with several options available. Breakfast is suitable for athletes.
