What a lovely find this place on Via Marco Emilio Lepido. We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the food. The ravioli arrived piping hot and beautifully prepared, with a variety of colors and textures that immediately impressed us. The green ones in particular are truly flavorful, especially when you discover the rich vegetable filling inside. The chicken with peanuts was also a pleasant surprise, cooked perfectly. The service was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. We will definitely be back to try other specialties on the menu, as the quality is high. Highly recommended for those looking for an authentic and refined meal in the area.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the owner, Sofia, is incredibly friendly! As for the food: Excellent! Exceptional homemade desserts and the best spicy eggplant ever. Highly recommended!

Family-run Chinese home cooking, recommended

I'd heard about this place many times but had never gotten around to it; now that I've tried it, I can't wait to go back! I'd like to make an important point: this restaurant shouldn't be seen or experienced as "a classic restaurant," but rather as a sort of mystical experience (in a tongue-in-cheek sense, of course). As already mentioned, the location is ugly, old, and has very low lighting (it's really hard to read the menu at first). However, I think if the location were different—sophisticated, modern, or elegant—the whole experience would be different. You're served by the owner, a super kind and helpful Chinese lady, with whom you can chat pleasantly even after dinner (while she showed us all the photos at the entrance, she even gave us some chopsticks). But the real gem is the food: if you love Chinese cuisine, you'll satisfy your cravings here! The appetizers were excellent (we had the dog dumplings and the baozi—a type of steamed meat-filled bun), and both were excellent. The meat inside was incredibly tender and flavorful. Then we had the seafood rice, their dumplings with sautéed vegetables (delicious), the incredibly tender bamboo shoot duck, and the chicken with almonds (delicious). The menu also has a separate section listing dishes requiring advance reservations (the duck is one of them). The bill was absolutely in line with any other Chinese restaurant. What I loved most was the simplicity and authenticity of it all, accompanied by the authentic flavors of traditional Chinese cuisine and complemented by the kindness and friendliness of the owner. It's an experience you absolutely must try!
