Glauco In Milano

First weekend of our life in Milan, we accidentally end up in this restaurant on Sunday 03/03/24. Superlative lunch, impeccable service, with detailed descriptions and pleasant conversations with the staff. The young owner of the restaurant is extremely courteous, hospitable, kind, friendly and professional. So much so that he even offered us a ride in his car at the end of the meal. A unique experience from the food to the climate, including the recommended prosecco (officially one of my favourites). We will certainly return to this place when we return to Milan. You have to come to Glauco with the desire and awareness of treating yourself to a fantastic fishing experience, a journey through the freshest raw materials and excellent preparations both to the eye and in the mouth. A really interesting menu offers many choices. After an entree based on Sicilian scampi with flaked almonds, very delicate, I had a complete tasting of crudités, consisting of 4 oysters of 3 different types, red prawns from Mazzara, scampi with its tartare, tuna carpaccio, 2 other types of prawns and tartare. A really well made composition of the highest quality and freshness. I then continued with a slice of amberjack in a pistachio crust and tuna in a sesame crust with a slice of peach and soy acacia honey. Here too we are talking about a truly applause-worthy dish, among other things figuratively done to the chef! Fantastic flavors and perfect combinations, crunchiness, acidity and flavor in perfect harmony. If I really wanted to find a quibble, I would have made the peach slices a little thinner. I continued with a lobster and redfish gazpacho with brioche bread. Excellent preparation where the excellent raw materials combined beautifully with each other. The gazpacho is really excellent with intense aromas of pepper. Closing with a bang with a surprising composition full of bold combinations consisting of grilled seared octopus on Sicilian scampi tartare, mullet bottarga and delicate tuna sauce. The lunch was accompanied by a pure Schiava grape from Trentino Girlan which accompanied our dishes very well. Honorable mention for the service, simply impeccable, attentive and ready to satisfy our every request including the strangest ones! Account in line with lived experience. Well done

Una riconferma! Ottimo locale, intimo e super curato in mille dettagli. Mauro il titolare è super attento e preparatissimo, oltre ad essere un padrone di casa molto presente e gentile. Il menù è sempre molto particolare ed il pesce freschissimo è trattato in maniera perfetta. Piatti ben realizzati e saporiti. Carta dei vini ampia ed onesta, spiegata alla perfezione. Complimenti per tutto !!

We went for dinner on New Year's Eve with my husband and my sister Imelda. We were surprised by the exquisite and well-presented dinner and the kindness of the waiter and the chef. We felt at home. There was also a very good atmosphere with a DJ who entertained us. Evening We went from Spain and we will return.... Thank you for treating us so well.

A varied and tasty menu. Very fresh fish. First time in my life that I go to a restaurant and looking at the menu everything makes me hungry. Highly recommended.

Location ben curata, anche se forse un poco anonima e fredda (ma qui è una questione di gusti). Materia prima al top, a livello di (pochi) altri locali consimili a Milano. Personale gentile e mai invadente (per la verità mi ricordo di un solo cameriere, ma davvero efficientissimo). Prezzi alti ma non sproporzionati, tenuto conto della qualità del prodotto servito. Carta e carta dei vini non ampissime, ma questa può essere una scelta per focalizzarsi meglio sui piatti che vengono serviti. Consuete difficoltà di posteggio della zona in cui è posto il locale. Consigliabile!
