Ristorante Glauco In Scilla

I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!

On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

A superb discovery! We came on the recommendation of our host and had a wonderful time. Good food, fresh fish, and pleasant and discreet waiters. I recommend this establishment without hesitation.

A very charming and atmospheric place, the service is friendly and welcoming without being overly flirtatious. The food is exceptional, fresh, and beautifully presented. The decor is classic and original, with a beautiful view of the sea and the city. The regional wine is delicious. I highly recommend it.

Quality and friendliness are the order of the day at the Glauco restaurant. The incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff will take you on a culinary journey of excellence, including traditional appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Special mention goes to the maître d', who recommended an excellent local wine based on our tastes. Everything features fresh, seasonal seafood. Reservations are recommended on weekends. We'll be back.

I’m so glad my friend and I chose to come here for lunch! The restaurant is gorgeous - inside and out. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, lovely, and helpful. The view is INCREDIBLE from the patio. We both ordered an Aperol spritz, pasta (linguine alle vongole for me, which was delicious), and espresso. Both cleaned our plates entirely. Would come back again and suggest this spot to anyone passing through Scilla!

Fabolous location with a terrace right on the sea from where you can admire entire Chianalea! We had delicious food and got served with generous wine glasses!
