Absolute worth a stop in Lucca especially if you have a family with young kids. They are insanely accommodating and the food tastes like a Michelin star even though they let theirs go!

This is the best restaurant in Lucca. Amazing service. The food is phenomenal. We are from NY and this went above and beyond our expectations. The raw tuna, mushroom parfait and chicken pate appetizers were dreamy. And the main courses and red wine were outstanding from the red meat to the veal to the fish of the day. This restaurant is a must on any trip. We also traveled with kids and they were very accommodating.

In the heart of Lucca, a refined location with imaginative details. The service is friendly and very, very attentive. We dined there when they had a Michelin star and returned now that they've renounced the star... the quality of the dishes has remained unchanged, truly wonderful cuisine.

A beautiful and very atmospheric spot in the heart of Lucca! The location of the restaurant is excellent, in one of the most picturesque medieval alleys of the city. An ideal place to enjoy your food or coffee in an authentic Tuscan setting.

We had a delicious meal during our visit to Lucca. It was great to see that so many local products are used here, and how! We found the beef fillet in particular to be exquisite. They also offered the option to create a pasta dish according to personal preference. We will definitely be back here. Ciao!

The absolute most amazing Beef cheeks, tenderloin, gnocchi and desert we have ever had. Should be a Michelin star restaurant! Highly recommend lunch if you’re in the area!

Extremely friendly staff, delicious food, and commendable how well they handled our allergies. We are traveling on tomorrow, otherwise I would definitely have gone again. Excellent value for money.

13/06/2026: We were in Viareggio for the June 2nd long weekend, and had the pleasure of dining at La Barchina, enjoying freshly fried fish. A highly recommended place.
12/06/2026: Quick and easy dinner along the Viareggio harbor. Really good fried food, crispy and not too greasy. The shrimp and calamari were superb, but the cod was even better!! The girls working there were kind and friendly, truly lovely. Highly recommended!!

27/07/2026: A good ice cream shop with quality ice cream. The pistachio ice cream is particularly delicious. Here, you pay for the cup, not the number of scoops. However, I'm only giving it 3 stars because of the service. The staff is neither warm nor friendly. I felt that Italian customers were greeted much more warmly than foreigners. The waitress simply placed my cup on the counter before immediately moving on to the next customer. A simple smile, a "bon appétit," or a "goodbye" would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because it spoils what could have been a very good experience.
