Ristorante Giardinetto In Pettenasco

The hotel has a great location by the lake, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They're very fond of children and dogs. Our dog was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The small green area by the gravel parking lot is lovely for watching the sunset in the evening. However: the food is way too expensive. The portions are so tiny. €15 for spaghetti with tomato sauce and burrata cheese, and then you get such an incredibly small portion. My partner's meal wasn't much bigger, but it was even more expensive. There are stairs everywhere, which makes it very difficult with a stroller, especially if you want to go to breakfast. Not every baby can sit in the IKEA car seat they offer for that long. Of course, you could leave the stroller in the room, but that's really inconvenient for very young children. Breakfast is the same every single day. And I mean exactly the same. Two or three types of cold cuts, two or three types of cheese, two types of rolls and toast... and the coffee wasn't exactly the best. A shame for Italy... Unfortunately, the dishes were often dirty and the scrambled eggs were often cold. The Wi-Fi in the room was very poor. Streaming was impossible. Which isn't exactly normal in 2022. Not everyone watches ZDF and ARD. The rooms were also very noisy. We prayed every night that our baby wouldn't cry for the sake of the other guests. Luckily, it didn't. Cleanliness was good, so we can't complain about that. The fold-out bed in the room was loose. We only noticed because something fell off and we had to open it. I wouldn't want to sleep on it; it would definitely tip over. Generally, quite a few things were worn or had defects. Regarding the location: if you want to go into town, you have to walk about 200 meters along the road because there's no sidewalk. There is a small strip of grass, but it's no help with a stroller. For cyclists, however, the hotel is a great starting point for a ride around the lake or other routes. ... If you're traveling without a baby and a dog, you can find a few days of peace and quiet at this hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us.

This hotel is perfect. The staff is lovely. The restaurant is really very good and child-friendly (children's menus and high chairs). Ideal location.

Historic venue on Lake Orta Great location

We celebrated our wedding in this wonderful place on Lake Orta, and we can only say beautiful words about that perfect day. Enchanting and suggestive place, impeccable service, superlative food. There was not a detail that was not taken care of to perfection. We thank Il Giardinetto infinitely for making our wedding unique, and we recommend it wholeheartedly. I would add that we have attended it on other occasions, both for our son's baptism, and for dinner and aperitif and we can only confirm the same satisfaction every time. Wonderful place, great location. Staff were all attentive & service great. Amazing restaurant food & great rooftop bar. Perfect location with infinity pool & lake for swimming paddleboarding and boating
