The raw fish is fantastic but (I would add two oysters or something else local), the polenta alla buscata was fabulous but not enough (it was so good), the first courses were very good but not enough, I would like to recommend two points to improve and reach excellence (for me), quantity based on the price

I recommend the chef (open kitchen)
*if you put the kitchen in view if something falls (a wooden spoon), WASH it before reusing the equipment 😅

On May 1st we booked a restaurant at midday and went to Chioggia: a nightmare! Arriving at 12.45, after an endless queue we were unable to find a parking space. In the end we had to cancel the reservation in the center but at 2pm we were in the car wandering aimlessly (and parking) on the outskirts of Chioggia near the beach.
The reviews of the Garibaldi restaurant were good so we called them even though we were aware of the opening hours and almost hopeless.
They welcomed us last minute and without a reservation, even though they were already fully booked, and did their best to make up for our bad impression of the city's logistics.
Excellent food, impeccable service and great courtesy from the owner.
Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy excellent fish in a friendly but also sophisticated environment.
Then we went to see the sea and thanks to them we spent a pleasant May 1st with the family.

Found it thanks to the nice reviews...well deserved! Small room, with few tables but a welcoming atmosphere. The owners, the lady serves at the tables and her husband is the chef in the kitchen, are two nice people, friendly and helpful. The lady satisfied all our curiosities about the dishes and in addition to a small welcome entrée, we were served other tastings during lunch, in addition to what we ordered. The homemade bread is served hot in a basket with hot stones underneath to maintain the temperature. The raw dish had, in addition to excellent quality, a variety that has never had equal until now. Excellent spider crab and masenette, cuttlefish salad with fried artichoke, bottarga and pears. The turbot millefeuille with chanterelles and pumpkin is delicate and the trifle is sublime, as is the fried cream and biscuits served with coffee. What can I say, we felt pampered. The price is certainly a little above average but not at all exaggerated given the quality. We recommend it and will certainly return, the owners deserve it for the passion they put into their work and the good food they serve.

Il ristorante è una location molto curata e accogliente. Cibo molto buono e scelta dei vini molto ampia. Il personale molto gentile. Due note dolenti: la prima è che abbiamo chiesto due calici di vino che non avevano e ce n’è stato portato un altro ma fatto pagare come il primo (avevano prezzi diversi sulla carta) e la seconda è l’uscita dalla cucina della cuoca/titolare per ricercare consensi positivi e chiedere la recensione. Insomma, piccoli dettagli da migliorare per non avere una caduta di stile visto che si tratta di un ristorante in cui si punta ad essere di un livello più alto della media.

Un consiglio, se anche non passate per sottomarina prendete la macchina e venite qua!! Mai mangiato così bene in nessun altro posto!! E non è solo mangiare..è un'esperienza sensoriale! A presto!!
