Attracted by the positive reviews, I book for dinner. I arrive on time! The quality of the food is decent but not exciting. The unacceptable thing, however, is the wait. You can't wait 45 minutes for a rare steak! I'm sorry but the service needs to improve a lot. To conclude, I go to the cashier to pay where a guy is sitting who, even seeing me wait, continues to consult his a**es on the PC, not caring about my presence! And I had to pay money useful for his business. And for this poor service, I certainly won't go back. Last gem, the baked potatoes... maybe the chef had taken them out half an hour earlier, they wouldn't have burned. Terrible.

Nel tardo pomeriggio del primo maggio, con il centro storico di Stia quasi deserto e tutto chiuso, questo ristorante di fronte all’albergo si è acceso come una piccola luce accogliente. Non è la classica sorpresa dettata da basse aspettative: qui si va sinceramente oltre. Pane fatto in casa, piatti curati e sorprendenti come la tartare di gamberi, le linguine all’astice e una ricciola cucinata alla perfezione. Ma il vero valore aggiunto è l’atmosfera: i proprietari guidano il locale con passione e trattano il personale come una famiglia, e questo si riflette nell’accoglienza calorosa e nel servizio attento. Un’esperienza autentica, da ricordare e sicuramente da ripetere.

08/10/2025: We were lucky to arrive just as they were opening so we got a table even though we didn't have a reservation. I have a number of dietary restrictions but we were able to find dishes that I could eat. When we ordered, I asked the server to recommend a bottle of wine for us and he suggested an economical option that went well with our meals. The lamb was more thoroughly cooked than I am used to, and the beef was much rarer than my companion was used to, but both were excellent! The gnocchi was also quite good. We finished with the tiramisù and loved it! Very different from what we find in the US, but absolutely delicious. The servers didn't hover or interrupt us, but were always available if we needed something. It was pretty easy to get their attention, and they spoke enough English that we didn't have a problem communicating. We should probably try some of the other restaurants in town, but the experience here was so good that this might be the only place we dine out during our stay!
02/10/2025: Just enjoyed a delious meal at Antica Trattoria. Staff was very friendly, the food was of good quality and the portions were genorous and reasonably priced.
