We had lunch here on August 16th. The restaurant opens onto the square, and eating outside is really pleasant, even in the August heat as there is a lot of shade. We ordered grilled turbot and spaghetti with clams which were really good. The service: professional and kind.

Very quaint, great restaurant. Very tasty food. Rarely have I had such good lasagne. Service top and super friendly. All in all just great.

Very good pizzas with a nice old town flair. The wine was also recommended, but the most important thing is that the waiters were reserved and not intrusive. Everything was great... I don't understand the negative reviews from package tourists...

Unfortunately, I have to join many of my predecessors. If you don't speak Italian, the service is unfortunately not available. The younger waitress seemed more trying and friendly. Tourism is part of gastronomy and helps finance it!!! The food was okay, the spaghetti vongole had lots of mussels and tasted delicious. The vegetable soup was ok.

I read the reviews beforehand and was biased towards a negative aspect We ordered spaghetti for our child, which was served first, and we ordered a starter, main course and dessert Very hardworking and accommodating You're always asked if everything fits There was really nothing wrong with today Would come here again

Service très lent. Tables arrivées après nous ont été servies avant nous avec certains même plats (pizza et spaghettis vongoles. Bière très amère. Légumes grillés très sec.

The environment is fantastic. Service friendly and professional. El Fontego live up to the high standard of Italian food. Not only the Pizza but also Pasta and fish/ shellfish. Are you in Chioggia this is one of the places to visit

Otroligt mysig atmosfär! Alla våra fem rätter var super, riktigt god italiensk mat. Servicen var proffsig och trevlig. Tips: boka bord utomhus i förväg!

19/05/2024: We had lunch in this restaurant, it’s beautiful cuisine, pleasant with attentive servers. We are demanding, and I am surprised at the rating of this restaurant.
03/05/2024: Super nice restaurant on the water. We came here for coffee and a croissant with vanilla cream. Everything is very good. Very friendly service. Gladly again!

07/08/2024: Bon emplacement, belle et large terrasse La salle est également agréable Tables très propre Idem pour toilette Personnel sympathique et accueillant Bon conseil selon nos choix Et Précis pour décrire la composition des assiettes De plus le serveur faisait des efforts dans notre langue afin de créer davantage de convivialité Concernant les plats Filet de Boeuf très apprécié et comme en Italie très peu de légumes donc attention si gros appétit, prévoir un accompagnement Les risottos sont corrects sans plus et la prétention laisse à désirer contrairement aux autres assiettes qui sont fort heureusement bien plus agréable visuellement Restaurant à tester pour sa position proche de la place ST Marc Sa très agréable terrasse La sympathie du personnel Pour la cuisine ce n’est certes pas inoubliable
