The location, nestled in the Asti hills, is beautiful, as are the dishes served, typical of Monferrato cuisine. The wines are excellent, and the quality/price ratio is good.

Fixed menu at a family-run farmhouse in the Asti area. Quick and friendly service, and overall reasonable prices. We missed the soundproofing a bit, as we were surrounded by large tables. We recommend traveling with a low-slung car.

13/06/2026: Excellent cuisine, compliments to the chefs, coming to L'Aquila Nera never disappoints, the freshness, care, and deliciousness of the food are exceptional... Not to mention the special menu even on Saturdays, which in these times is not to be underestimated. What can I say? Exceptional, keep it up. Susy Rossini

02/06/2026: You feel welcome, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice.
30/05/2026: Simply delicious and incredibly friendly and competent service. We shared the delectable antipasti platter and then chose two dishes from the "pasta heaven"... with a fresh salad and excellent house wine, grappa, and coffee. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert. Osteria il "gheub" is a truly special place! We'll be back!
