First of all, I give full marks because initiatives like these should always be supported.
Cascina Gervasoni is a farmhouse that has undergone a conservative and authentic restoration. Few comforts but plenty of authenticity for a beautiful, clean yet rustic house in the woods.
That said, it's a shared experience where you sit around a large table with other guests and eat natural, organic products.
Unfortunately, the prices are completely out of line for a plate of pasta with butter and herbs and an egg omelette with water. Asking €30, or €35 for a dry grilled chicken breast at a shared table, in my opinion is way too much. With wine and a polenta to share, we came to €42 each.
I understand that the home restaurant is more expensive, but let's be serious: preparing casoncelli with butter and sage and a pan-fried chicken breast doesn't require a Michelin-starred chef or a team of cooks.
Of course, prices are displayed, and everything is transparent and fair, but reviews also serve as suggestions.
More work needs to be done on the food side, both on the selection and the prices.
The next day we left and at a trattoria on the road we ate tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and rabbit Bergamo-style with polenta and vegetables for €20, including wine.
The message I got was this: organic is something I can't afford.
And this, in my opinion, is counterproductive.
That said, I hope the lovely and hospitable owners, who truly put so much heart and soul into it, don't be offended.
I know you're not profiteering, but the business won't be able to reach its full potential if you don't address certain aspects.
I hope these suggestions are appreciated and not seen as an attack.

We spent two nights here with an EquoTube package and couldn't have asked for anything better! The weekend at Max's was incredibly enjoyable, thanks to the serenity of the place and his wonderful company. A fantastic experience surrounded by nature, perfect for a weekend with your dogs.
The agriturismo run by Max takes you back in time, far from the chaos of the city. In the evening, we sampled Max's cuisine, which is also an excellent chef and uses all the produce grown in his own garden!

It was a small revelation: there's an intimate and welcoming place nestled in the woods, with a rustic and authentic soul and a "peasant" approach that guides it. The cuisine is ancient, simple, and the flavors come directly from the nearby forest.

I visited Max's farmhouse last Sunday.
It was a chance to celebrate my birthday with my children!
It was a wonderful experience in a 19th-century setting nestled in the tranquility and fairytale setting of the woods.
Excellent cuisine, freshly prepared by Max, using herbs from the woods and eggs from his ducks and chickens.
His two children are wonderful kids, very close to their father, with whom they share passion, experience, and a great love for each other.
The atmosphere is familiar and peaceful, especially as all the guests share lunch in the same dining room.
Seats are limited, and having lunch together creates a wonderful atmosphere of familiarity, even among strangers.
Max exudes a welcoming, passionate atmosphere and a desire to share his knowledge, both about life on the farm and the many activities he offers here.
It's also an ideal place for those who practice meditation; Tibetan bells, perhaps accompanied by Max's legendary herbal teas!
We'll be back!

It wasn't just a night out of our routine, but a true life experience where we immediately felt at home... or rather, in a new home.
From the very first moment, we sensed an authentic and familiar atmosphere. We truly felt part of the family.
Our girls played with Massimo's children, Gemma and Sebastiano, spontaneously and naturally, as if they had known each other forever. When it was time to leave, they didn't want to go home and even insisted on booking new days to spend together!
We also toured the animals: Ugo the donkey, the goats, and in the morning the girls collected fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks. These are simple but truly precious moments, especially for those who live in the city.
A heartfelt thank you to Massimo and his family for their welcome, kindness, and simplicity with which they made us feel at home.
We will definitely be back.
