We had lunch today for the first time. I have to say everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the first course, the main course with side dish, and the dessert. The service was impeccable, too, with very friendly waiters. If you want to eat well and spend a fair amount, you can't miss Ristorante Del Vecchio Borgo.

Five stars for the tantalizing cooking aroma.

I discovered it by chance while browsing restaurants in the Domodossola area on Google Maps, and in the end I decided not only to eat there but also to sleep there, and I must say it was the perfect choice. First and foremost, the helpfulness and hospitality of the staff. The lady who welcomed me made me feel at home right away and accommodated all my requests, even before I arrived. The hotel is rustic in style, housed in the rooms of an ancient palazzo in the small historic center of Vogogna. The furnishings are basic, but the rooms are very spacious and warm. It's wonderful to wake up in the morning to the sound of the bells of the nearby church and the mountains of the Ossola Valley. The price is incredibly affordable (€50/night in a single room + a croissant and cappuccino for breakfast). As for the restaurant, I was lucky enough to try it for dinner upon my arrival, and I must say the dishes were all delicious, from the marinated Fassona beef tartare with truffle mustard to the raviolini del plin with fondue and saffron sprouts—everything was exquisite and prepared without being pretentious. I really enjoyed the menu, featuring local specialties. Well done! The atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by, with the typical warmth of a tavern. I highly recommend this place, both for the food and as an excellent stopover for nearby Domodossola and the foliage train. I'll be back. Thanks for everything.
