I've been going there for years, both the menu of the day and the à la carte menu are excellent. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Better to book.

At the Vecchio Borgo I think I enjoyed one of the best Piedmontese cuisine dinners of 2024. The restaurant is located in the center of medieval Vogogna and presents itself as an old-time tavern, familiar and welcoming. The quality of the food is sublime. We started with the starter with fassona tartare with truffle and parmesan and veal with tuna sauce, the latter one of the best dishes of the evening, soft veal and perfect tuna sauce. We then divided two portions of ravioli del plin with cream cheese and saffron, for me the dinner dish, the plin was of rare goodness and I would never have thought that the combination with saffron would be so perfect. To eat tons of them. Finally, for the second course, we shared wild boar ribs with caramelized onion and an incredible rib with a great flavor that could be cut with a spoon because it was so soft. Desserts slightly below the rest of the dinner but still good. Well-stocked wine list with lots of choice on the Ossola. Very kind and helpful person. Prices more than honest, we spent 60 euros each with all this goodness, two spectacular bottles of wine with a medium/high price and river gentians. Highly recommended, for me it is now one of the best places in Ossola.

A simple place but of superior quality! The cuisine satisfies every palate with a varied menu! Friendly staff, decent rooms. Highly recommended to eat here, both first and second courses!

Risotto buonissimo che richiede 20 minuti di preparazione (é specificato anche sul menu), salsiccia davvero gustosa, con verdure ben cotte! Prezzo onestissimo. A pranzo si può scegliere se fare menù completo con primo e secondo o con solo una portata. Il personale é stato sempre cortese, anche quando ha iniziato ad esserci la confusione tipica del finesettimana di ferragosto! Ci tornerei senza dubbio... Lo consiglio!
