FANTASTIC DINNER We ate in a small but very charming indoor dining room, and were greeted by kind and very knowledgeable staff. And what can I say about the food? The best pasta I've ever eaten and a fantastic Florentine steak. I highly recommend trying it.

We had dinner on New Year's Eve with my wife and children. I really appreciated the menu choices. The first courses, in particular, were wonderful. The lobster caps were of the highest quality and tasted incredibly delicate, the service was very attentive, and the view of the square was excellent, where you can eat well even in winter.

Dinner was decided at the last minute, and they seated us right away. A table under the loggias, even though it was winter, was comfortable with the heating. How did they manage to take my specific order, considering my allergies, including celiac disease and lactose, mushrooms, and blue cheeses? Choosing from the menu, I asked for grilled octopus. The waiter immediately told us that everything was cooked separately. A rarity, even today in Italy. Excellent food; it was truly exceptional, perfectly cooked, and the sauce was excellent. A more than positive experience, and above all, safe for my allergies. Congratulations, truly.

On December 23rd, my daughter and I dined at the Essenza restaurant for our first Florentine steak experience, and were more than satisfied with the hospitality and service. I thank Domenico for making us feel better than at home, and also the rest of the staff who welcomed us so graciously. To conclude our brief Tuscan experience in Arezzo, on December 24th we had lunch at Essenza again (it's best not to change, since the first course was so good), where we chose two traditional first courses. The chef offered us panforte, a typical Tuscan dessert similar to nougat but very spicy with cinnamon and orange—unique! The gift to take back to Rome was certainly a given. Thanks again for the wonderful experience. ps. Next time we'll come with our family chef, who misses out on many of these experiences due to work.

I dined at this restaurant in Arezzo on Saturday evening and it was a truly excellent experience. I ate a delicious tagliata (a thin slice of beef) preceded by a truly high-quality prosciutto. What struck me most was the attention, professionalism, and kindness of the staff toward my celiac disease: a rare level of care. While other diners were sampling the oil with bread, I was served bagged gluten-free bread and crackers, with great care and respect. They also avoided baking them to avoid any risk of cross-contamination. I finally felt at ease, welcomed, and pampered, not to mention having eaten wonderfully. I highly recommend this place, especially to those with special dietary needs.

I had the fish fixed menu. Excellent. One dish better than the next. Domenico the server was spot on.

Every time I pass through Arezzo, I have to dine at this restaurant at least once. The food is exceptional. The Florentine steak, the tagliata al tartufo, and the sea bass with asparagus are all specialties. Excellent wine selection. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Se esiste un luogo in cui la bellezza di una città storica incontra l’eccellenza culinaria e un’accoglienza degna di nota, quel luogo si chiama Essenza, nel cuore pulsante di Arezzo. Già prima di varcare la soglia del ristorante, si percepisce che qui l’attenzione per il cliente è totale: li abbiamo contattati per suggerirci dove parcheggiare, permettendoci di raggiungere la location in totale serenità. Un dettaglio? Forse. Ma è proprio dai dettagli che si riconosce la vera classe. La location è semplicemente mozzafiato: affacciato sulla magnifica piazza centrale di Arezzo, Essenza offre un’atmosfera che sembra uscita da un film. In una serata estiva perfetta, con un venticello leggero che accarezzava i tavoli all’aperto, ci siamo ritrovati immersi in un piccolo angolo di paradiso. Il contesto era talmente suggestivo da farci dimenticare il tempo, come sospesi in una parentesi di bellezza e gusto. Ma il vero capolavoro è arrivato con il cibo. Una carne chianina da manuale, sontuosa, intensa, perfetta in ogni dettaglio. Presentata con una cura quasi artistica, accompagnata da una selezione di sali pregiati e da spiegazioni dettagliate su come gustarla al meglio, questa portata è diventata un’esperienza sensoriale totale. Ogni morso raccontava la storia di una tradizione toscana nobile e autentica, rivisitata con maestria contemporanea. Una sinfonia di sapori, equilibrio, passione. E non si può non parlare del servizio: l’altra grande eccellenza di Essenza. Giovani camerieri affiancati da colleghi più esperti hanno saputo accompagnarci in questo percorso enogastronomico con una combinazione rara di professionalità, garbo e simpatia. Nulla era fuori posto, nulla lasciato al caso. Ogni piatto, ogni calice, ogni parola era calibrata per farci sentire speciali. Ci hanno fatto sentire non solo ospiti, ma amici, parte di un’esperienza che va ben oltre la semplice “cena fuori”. In conclusione, Essenza non è solo un ristorante: è un viaggio nei sensi, un’ode al gusto, un inno alla Toscana più autentica e raffinata. Chi cerca un’esperienza culinaria di alto livello, incorniciata da una delle piazze più belle d’Italia e valorizzata da un’accoglienza senza paragoni, non può che fare tappa qui.
