Everything was excellent and the service was very fast. I gave it 4 stars because I found the price of the appetizers a little high, in my opinion. However, the quality of everything was excellent.

The restaurant "Dal Piemunteis" is located in the center of Vercelli, just steps from the train station. Parking is convenient in front of the restaurant, and even more unique in Vercelli is its evening opening time of 7:00 PM. Watson and I manage to arrive early, even at such an early hour! This, however, allows us to better appreciate the location and the staff, who are very young but kind, attentive, and perfectly dressed. The menu, much to Watson's delight, is handwritten in notebooks! The dishes are typically Piedmontese, and there are also a few off-menu dishes. We order veal with tuna sauce, tagliolini with hare sauce, and grilled sirloin steak with potatoes. The appetizer is generous, but it's sliced too thinly, at least for my taste, so the tuna sauce, also abundant, is overpowering. The tagliolini are also outnumbered by the hare sauce, but they're still good. The perfectly cooked fillet steak was excellent, but even here the baked potatoes, though well-cooked, were of the sweet variety (as in another recent gastronomic survey of ours). The coffee and wine were very good, a bottle of 2022 Pio Cesare Nebbiolo. We ended up spending €139 for two. The place is lovely, with adequate space between tables. A special mention goes to the owner's humanity for an incident that occurred at the end of dinner: a delivery driver who had come to collect the bags for home deliveries inadvertently knocked over a bottle of Travaglini Gattinara, which is prohibitively expensive for someone earning just a few euros a day. The owner dismissed the driver with a friendly pat on the back: good job!

The best vitello tonnato I've ever had! The other options are also excellent. Friendly, well-timed service in a lovely restaurant just steps from the city center. Highly recommended.

I went for dinner with colleagues... the food quality was average to poor, veal with tuna sauce was overcooked and dry, the sauce was sour, desserts lacked flavor... Not to mention they ran out of bread halfway through the appetizers... the service wasn't very attentive, some of the waitresses could be more welcoming...
There are definitely better options.
