Il Paiolo In Vercelli

My husband and I had lunch at "Il Paiolo" on Monday 1st April, Easter Monday. Personally, I really like the type of place, for the atmosphere, the type of very lived-in environment and the furnishings. I found it warm and welcoming. It was very crowded for the party, but despite this the service was precise, timely and the staff very kind. As is our habit, accompanied by a glass of excellent Nebbiolo, we wanted to take the local specialty, the Vercellese risotto, called "Panissa" and we loved it. Thanks for the nice experience.

First of all, courtesy and hospitality, then excellent proposals linked to the territory. Excellent lunch and wine, homemade dessert but nothing to send to a good bottle. The panissa to try… I will definitely be back… Raffaele

Clean place, fast service, ready to make exceptions: the menu indicated that the panissa could be ordered for a minimum of two portions; I was alone but I was able to enjoy it anyway. Recommended (next time I'll go with my wife). 🙂

Ottima cucina piemontese, ho prenotato per una cena per due, prima di una serata a teatro, sono stati puntuali nel servizio, consentendoci di mangiare con calma e raggiungere il teatro civico a piedi, in tempo per lo spettacolo. Ottimi gli antipasti caldi, secondi di carne cotti al punto giusto, con contorno di pure e polenta, caldi molto caldi, come desirerei ricevere il cibo sempre. Il dolce era ottimo, il tutto servito con il sorriso e professionalità, alla cara vecchia maniera. Grazie per la scritta auguri sul dolce. Qualità, prezzo e porzioni ottimi. Carta dei vini a prezzi accessibili con una buona scelta anche per le mezze bottiglie. Bagni puliti e in ordine. Lo consiglio e ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante una domenica di ottobre. Locali arredati in stile trattoria con gusto un po’ retrò ma piacevole. Nel menu troviamo piatti tipici della tradizione vercellese ma anche piatti normalmente serviti in ogni ristorante: infatti abbiamo gustato “panissa” vercellese (che, avviso per i non piemontesi, è un particolare risotto, non la frittatina di ceci come si intende in altre parti d’Italia; siamo nella provincia europea del riso!), servita nel tradizionale paiolo (che da il nome al ristorante) , trippa gratinata e filetto. Tutto molto molto buono, fresco e cucinato alla perfezione. Vino della casa di buona qualità. Servizio attento, gentile ed efficiente malgrado il locale fosse al completo. Non è un ristorante economico ma i prezzi sono in linea con altri locali della zona di Vercelli/Novara. Esperienza da ripetere sicuramente.
