Whoever advised us to come said "if you are going to Stromboli there is only one reason: Zurro" The BEST dinner I can remember so far in my life!!!!!!! A simple and essential context, at the same time rich, substantial, full of personality. Literally facing the sea. The owner, the chef, observes the terrace full of people from inside the restaurant. Extremely helpful and approachable staff. We dine under the stars by candlelight. Particular attention to detail, both in the choice of dishes and in the plating. The chef was a sailor and took great care of the quality of the fish (really really excellent, different from what I usually found even in the best restaurants in Milan or by the sea). The wife prepares the desserts at home, which are amazing (chocolate cake has the shape of a slice of cake, but it is the best I have ever tried so far in my opinion). Excellent appetizer, very rich, fresh as never tasted before. Portions more than generous. Very tasty and filling. The baked red paccheri filled with fish are delicious, as are the lava stones, ravioli filled with fish. Very honest prices. Furthermore, for a special occasion and a particular coincidence it was also possible for us to have dinner on the beach.... Thank you for the magical experience. If there is a reason why we will return to Stromboli... it will definitely be ZURRO!

Prezzi decisamente alti. I primi dai 23 in su (anche spaghetti con le cozze…. Che non sono esattamente l’esempio di pesce pregiato) Vogliamo parlare del coperto a 4 euro? Eppure non ho notato argenteria a tavola da giustificare ciò. Si tratta di una trattoria in fondo. La pasta scotta e anche salata, come il conto. 100 euro per due primi, un antipasto diviso e un vino da 25 euro. Porzione di antipasto molto misera a 16 euro. Non hanno offerto magari a fine cena un caffè o amaro per gentilezza, nonostante ci abbia prenotato il tavolo e “raccomandato” un pescatore del luogo, amico del cuoco. Non ci tornerei.

A magical, informal and authentic place without many unnecessary bows and ceremonies, a place that brings back the true nature of the island and the people who live there, real people and lovers of the sea. Zurro and the lady who manages the room transmit joy and take care to make every customer feel at ease in the room. There is also a beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the sea with tables with candles. The cooked dishes are described with the passion of those who create them and who really care about the result and the quality offered. The fish is very fresh, needless to say, quality beyond compare. The raw food is superb. The quality of the food served on painted ceramic plates typical of the island, the Malvasia offered at the end of the meal and the very high human value make this place an unforgettable experience and not just a simple dinner. Absolutely not to be missed if you want to spend an intimate evening in a familiar place and eat superbly in total relaxation. 10 and praise.
