Chef does everything, from cooking to service to doing the accounts based on the customer to fleece. He dictates the menu by word of mouth, there is no paper menu.
Cover charge 4 euros per person when there is no service; 16 euros for two glasses of prosecco........I will not report the final bill.
Very good food but the rest goes without saying...watch out for deceptive methods.
Dinner is by candlelight so the thorns are included in the bites.

Siamo tornati per la terza volta con immenso piacere e ci è dispiaciuto tantissimo non essere potuti rimanere ancora un giorno,tanto per l'isola, tanto per Zurro! Locale fantastico sul mare,Zurro( Francesco) è una persona straordinaria che si fa in 8 per farti stare bene,riesce a cucinare piatti deliziosi,essendo un vecchio pescatore sa per certo cosa portarti a tavola e soprattutto come cucinarlo! Se passate da Stromboli DOVETE passare una serata da Zurro,chiudendo con uno dei suoi magnifici liquori! A prestissimo

Going to Zurro means not having pretensions.
We didn't even see the menu, it was 10:30 pm and we sat down with the thought of eating as soon as possible due to the almost imminent closure.
A magical atmosphere as magical as the island, if you are particularly demanding it is better not to come..the food is authentic, as is the atmosphere and the staff..very fresh and delicious food..the company of Zurro is pleasant as are the bitters lovingly made by him in person..I hope to return soon, it's not every day that you feel at home!

Historic restaurant in Stromboli, very fresh fish and excellent quality food. Zurro is a fantastic owner, wonderful welcome, it felt like we were at home. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. Super recommended.

Zurro è un padrone di casa fantastico: simpatico, raccontastorie, una vera istituzione stromboliana... Il cibo è molto buono e cucinato bene... Il posto è familiare ed accogliente... Ma assolutamente chiedete prima i prezzi, scritti su un menù, perchè se fate fare a lui vi ammazza con i prezzi !!! (e non per mangiare ostriche e bere Champagne !!!)
