Everything was excellent, the atmosphere was familiar yet elegant. Reservations are essential, and even a few days in advance.

Our dinner at Da Paolino was excellent: Roberto and the owner's welcome was warm and genuine. They knew how to recommend something based on your preferences and pampered you with sweets and artisanal liqueurs at the end of the meal. The polenta appetizer was delicious, though very rich, as were the pork shank and the chitarra pasta with chestnuts. My son's taccozze with butter and parmesan were also delicious, very creamy. Overall, the fresh pasta was excellent. The village was deserted but very charming. It's worth stopping for a glass of local red wine and then definitely heading over for dinner. They also accept walk-ins, but availability is always limited, so it's best to book well in advance. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back :)

A very beautiful and welcoming place. The owner made us feel welcomed, right at home. Besides that, I must say the staff was also very kind to the customers and the food was delicious. If you happen to be in or near Pescocostanzo, I absolutely recommend it!

We were welcomed to this restaurant with great kindness and helpfulness, especially by the owner, who was truly friendly. We enjoyed the house appetizer, bruschetta with radicchio and scamorza, which was very tasty. The polenta with cheese and truffle was excellent, as were the first courses, generously portioned and well-cooked. The only small complaint was the truffle, which lacked flavor, a shame, because the dishes could have been excellent. The cream was good, but the chestnut tart was less to my taste. Overall, a lovely experience, made even more enjoyable by the welcome and the quality of the cuisine.

The food, service, and ambiance deserve a 5-star rating. A family-run restaurant with high-quality products. Unlimited courtesy and generous portions.

Reading the various reviews, I find myself perfectly aligned with the difficult, sometimes impossible, reservations. Unfortunately, often with less than friendly phone and in-person responses. Having made this necessary introduction, I can only say positive things about this restaurant, provided you manage to find a free table, which we did last winter, and by the most fortuitous of circumstances (after trying to book by phone for about a month). Every first and second course, the desserts, the wine list, everything is sublime. The reputation is well deserved. The village of Pescocostanzo, as you leave the restaurant, is absolutely enchanting in winter, and that adds to the picture. Update 12/29/2024 After multiple attempts to book, including in person, we were unable to eat. Update 12/30/2025 For the second year in a row, after repeated attempts, it is impossible to eat at this restaurant.
