Book a table in advance, otherwise you won't get a seat on the balcony.

The first course with ragù was excellent and the mixed crostini were delicious... the steak was good, soft and, even if it had a few too many nerves, really juicy and tasty, the dessert with ricotta and pears was special.
Classic trattoria from times gone by, the innkeeper is a person who, with his tales of the neighboring towns and the divine comedy, gives that something extra to the atmosphere.
Fast, polite and welcoming service.

A very traditional Fiorentino restaurant in a small town. Mainly used by the locals, it serves well made food, simple but good quality. The balcony terrace at 1st floor has amazing view of the valley in front of the village. Price was also decent.

An absolutely great and authentic place. The Bistecchine di Maiale ai Ferri was a savoury dream in Umami heaven. The Stuffato alla
fornacina was unfortunately oversalted. The sides were great but what they charge for a single sliced tomato on a plate - you should make up your own mind about it (check the pictures)

My wife had delicious pasta, my goulash recommended by the waiter was oversalted. Very good wine. Nice place, but I noticed that Italians are treated better there than foreigners.

Absolutely for carnivores.
Good food, excellent service, in line with what was consumed.
We had a wonderful dinner on a Monday night. The restaurant is cozy & the owner was a kind man in his 80s who talked to us and other dinners. He even showed us his collection of Dante books!
We decided to eat Florentine Steak. They showed us the cut before it was sent off to cook. They didn’t ask how we’d like it cook, it was medium rare - which is how we like to eat it anyway so we didn’t mind. We had some salad & potatoes on the side. The dessert is not to be missed! We shared Nonna’s cake, which was a lemony custard cake with almond crust - delicious! And my husband had limoncello to top off the night & help with digestion.
