We went to Mario's recently and found it to be a welcoming, clean place with good service. Typical Pisan cuisine done in a simple but good way. There was an air of home. Good value for money.

We hadn't booked and it was an improvisation. As soon as we entered we read the sign that the restaurant was fully booked, but they still managed to find us a table for the three of us. It really felt like family, the waitress was super nice and smiling. The appetizer of ham and croutons was super good and plentiful, not to mention the wild boar parpardelle, which you absolutely must eat. The top desserts. You can feel that the quality of the food is really good. The owner Alessandra is a very nice woman and transmits the love she gives in her restaurant. Definitely coming back and recommending it. Even the cost we paid was fair and not exaggerated.

What a fabulous find ! Unassuming yet was one of the best places in Pisa. Not touristy, just wholesome food in a cozy place. Pretty famous, too, considering Andrea Bocelli visited this quaint restaurant. Best pasta and the steak with mushroom sauce was fabulous.

Di passaggio da Pisa abbiamo scelto trattoria da Mario cercando " ristorante vicino a me" e ci siamo trovati bene. Cucina casalinga con buoni prodotti. Ci torneremo.

Restaurant tenu de main de maître par la patronne , très sympathique . Restaurant local donc que des très bonnes choses très bien préparées et généreusement . Vous prenez du vin au verre et la patronne vous laisse la bouteille sur la table . Je le recommande fortement .

31/01/2025: Our experience is even more sublime than we expected, in addition to a modern and well-kept venue, with a wonderful illuminated terrace, since it was evening we could only imagine the view which should be stupendous during the day, in fact we promised ourselves to come back for lunch. Dishes thought out down to the umpteenth detail, with combinations that leave you so deeply enthusiastic about the combination of flavors blended in an original but delicate way, that it amazes anyone who can taste them. The pasta filled with wild boar deserves a note of merit, a unique explosion of flavour, gathered from a very fine rolled pasta, as well as the pigeon sauce sweetened by blueberries and the gin and tonic reduction which gives it the touch of class without daring too. Congratulations to Simone, the chef who came up with such a winning formula!

07/02/2025: Very nice restaurant with a warm atmosphere, we had several starters, including the amazing carpaccio, a first course each and the Fiorentina, all excellent, I highly recommend it 👍🏻
07/02/2025: Excellent spaghetti, good wine, very warm and welcoming environment, welcome tomato soup. I will gladly stay here again during a new stay in Pisa.
