Restaurant owner kindly recommended food for the solo traveler. Steak was great and the vibes were cozy. I regret I couldn’t drink a wine because of the car.

We visited Da Mario's restaurant on the recommendation of our guesthouse. The small terrace in the courtyard immediately appealed to us. There's an English menu. The staff themselves don't speak English, which made communication a bit difficult. The food was delicious and we were very satisfied. Therefore, we can't understand some of the negative reviews.

It feels like home. The atmosphere of a restaurant from another era. The owner and manager himself serves at the tables and takes care of the huge grill that fortunately does not smoke or smell like grilled meat. The meat is the strong point, but the first courses are no joke either. If you are in Saturnia, you can't miss it. At Mario's, like at a friend's house.

A true Tuscan feast at Da Mario! Everything we tasted at Da Mario was pure delight. From the generous charcuterie to the delicious cheeses, including the famous Florentine prime rib, each dish is an explosion of authentic flavors. The wine, which perfectly complements the meal, is of high quality, and all at a truly reasonable price. Mario cooks right in front of us—a true spectacle! His composure and artistic talent make the experience even more unique. This is a place not to be missed for all lovers of traditional Italian cuisine.

Una vez más en el Mario uno de los mejores pequeños restaurantes de Saturnia uno de mis favoritos mi esposa y yo de todos modos nos encanta el propietario Mario que simplemente te hace sentir como en casa cada vez que estamos en su restaurante. En cuanto a la comida, el mejor filete a la parrilla siempre pedimos la mesa frente a la parrilla simplemente romántico para mí y mi esposa. Pasta casera con ragu de venado. Hermoso vino y un servicio agradable. Muy recomendable que no te decepcione. Grazie Mario como siempre ❤️.

30/08/2025: Wine bar on one of Orbetello's main streets, with outdoor seating. Lunch included a platter of cured meats and cheeses, plus cantuccini with Vin Santo. The quality of the products was average (the cheeses could be better). The prices were a bit high.
