I'm not a local, but for many summers during my childhood and adolescence, I vacationed in Saturnia, and this restaurant was our regular stop! From the beginning to the end of our vacation, we dined here every night, which means the food was always exquisite and impeccable.

What can I say? The best. You get the right price, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing. If you're passing through Saturnia, you can't miss Mario's! After dinner, I recommend the apple pie with ice cream. It's delicious.

Restaurant owner kindly recommended food for the solo traveler. Steak was great and the vibes were cozy. I regret I couldn’t drink a wine because of the car.

We visited Da Mario's restaurant on the recommendation of our guesthouse. The small terrace in the courtyard immediately appealed to us. There's an English menu. The staff themselves don't speak English, which made communication a bit difficult. The food was delicious and we were very satisfied. Therefore, we can't understand some of the negative reviews.

The restaurant is worth it for the food: very good meat, well cooked and brought on a grill that keeps it warm. The environment and service are spartan but it doesn't matter

31/10/2025: Updated October 30, 2025 The seven olive harvesters of '25, on a stormy, rainy, and windy day, indulged in a great-value seafood lunch: 4 appetizers...the 5 courses were always good. 5 first courses: clam and porcini mushroom gnocchi; seafood carbonara; spaghetti with monkfish; tagliatelle with octopus and tagliatelle with cucchi and calamari. 3 second courses: grilled fish; grilled calamari and mixed fried fish. ...everything was cooked to perfection, generous dishes that were a delight to the palate.
