There were three of us and we didn't read the reviews, and that was a good thing! Apart from the higher prices, we were very satisfied! When the menu is small, you know it's fresh and homemade.
The ladies, from young women to nonna, were all attentive and consistently friendly. A little chat about Lake Como and Lake Constance made up for the cold, wet weather. We'd gladly go back - Chiao Singnora's

Pesche fresco d'il Lago...Fresh fish from the lake.
Very friendly service, and the wine and fish, and especially the risotto with sage, were wonderful! I'd be happy to go back anytime.

Quite decent food, the staff are a bit dismissive and don't seem that interested in the customers. Portions are a bit small, and compared to the price it's expensive for what you get. The panna cotta was very good. They should have fast food service, very short wait for the food, long enough for them to make everything from scratch, but not slow

I was there alone for dinner, and the service was very friendly. The restrooms were very clean by Italian standards! I had Caprese, meat, and a mixed salad. The meat came hot and medium rare as ordered. It was very juicy. The ambiance is very inviting, with a direct view of the lake. The dishes at the next table also looked highly recommended (fried fish with potatoes).

Chance led us to Da Mario. We received a very friendly and welcoming greeting and were offered a seat. The menu is manageable. You don't have to search too hard like at pizza places. The service is top-notch. The young waitress is very friendly and helpful. The food is also visually appealing and you feel well looked after. The food was, to put it briefly, a dream! I had the steak, my sweetheart the ravioli and the kids had the gnocchi. Very, very tasty. The prices are a little higher than at the others but here the grandmother cooks herself. The side dishes were also fresh and tasty. Actually normal, you think, but there are enough other places where the food is from yesterday or even older.
