We had lunch today, unfortunately we were a little skeptical given the less than perfect reviews, but instead, the dishes were delicious and the waitress was friendly...

Maybe it's because I adore San Fruttuoso, and I had a wonderful experience staying at Da Giovanni many years ago, but this place is one of my favorites in Italy. As for accommodations, the rooms are perfectly suited to the setting, and the sense of peace you feel is inexplicable when all the day-trippers leave and you can rest with only the sound of the sea. As for the restaurant, I literally dream about their mandilli de sea (deconstructed lasagna) at night, and the rest of the menu is no exception. The prices are proportionate to the location, the staff is always friendly and helpful (at least in my case, it's always been that way), and honestly, it remains a super, hyper, extra, mega-recommended place.

🌞 A wonderful day in San Fruttuoso, made even more special by lunch at Da Giovanni restaurant. Recommended by our friend Alberto (who's a regular here!), we booked for lunch and couldn't have made a better choice. 🐟 We ordered a Ligurian-style swordfish steak, flavorful and perfectly cooked. 🍰 For dessert, Alberto and I chose torta della nonna, while Milena opted for meringue: both desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. 😊 The service was impeccable: the kind and friendly waitress helped make the atmosphere even more pleasant. 💰 The value for money is excellent, especially considering the beauty of the location and the quality of the food. 👏 Kudos to the staff! We really had a great time and will definitely be back.

Da Giovanni BAR. The bar offers self-service only, meaning you order at the counter and then sit on the terrace, which overlooks the small bay of San Fruttuoso. The location of both the bar and the restaurant, located even higher up, is truly fantastic. The stuffed focaccias (ham and cheese) were reheated and weren't bad overall, just a little dry. The menu states that they also do stuffed sandwiches and a few snacks, as well as drinks and cocktails. 2 bottled ice creams and 2 stuffed focaccias €23

The products are basic but the prices are affordable, which is appreciated in such a touristy place. Friendly staff. Pleasant terrace.

This is the perfect place to daydream. Reachable by ferry, on foot, or with your own boat, looking for passage from the mooring buoy to the beach, it's a destination that will fill your heart, stomach, and memory. Da Giovanni is a historic restaurant serving traditional Ligurian cuisine and the freshest seafood. I tried the shrimp spaghetti and their grilled fish and left the table feeling deeply satisfied. Excellent value for money, courteous service. The setting of San Fruttuoso is enchanting: a swim in the early morning light or at sunset is the best option, because the tourists who flock to this paradise are elsewhere. A visit to the abbey is worth it. You arrive and depart to the music of the waves. To maximize the experience, we stayed at Da Giovanni: new, comfortable rooms, equipped with a coffee machine, snacks, and water. For breakfast, you have to wait until 9:30 because croissants and fresh focaccia arrive on the first boat. Absolutely worth trying 🤩😎

Posto magico. Cibo eccellente, servizio puntuale e sorridente a delle cifre decisamente accettabili. È la quarta volta che torniamo da Giovanni e sicuramente ci ritorneremo. Abbiamo pernottato in un ambiente familiare con una vista fantastica. Decisamente da consigliare

Abbiamo soggiornato due giorni in una stanza con una vista fantastica sulla spiaggia e il golfo di San Fruttuoso. Personale estremamente gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo gustato degli ottimi piatti, cibo locale in un ambiente accogliente, familiare e con una vista stupenda. Location da consigliare e nella quale sicuramente torneremo

The food was a bit lackluster for the price. The shrimp spaghetti was okay, but the pesto lasagna was actually pesto pasta. The pasta was overcooked, but the pesto was delicious. Overall, the food was okay, and the view was beautiful, and the service was friendly.

We made a last-minute reservation for lunch, and the quality of the food was excellent. The service was also excellent. I'm really happy; they were great.
