Chic little spot on the outskirts of Alba Adriatica.
Tables are available inside, on the terrace, or on the veranda. Impeccable service and excellent cuisine. The menu offers a seafood tasting featuring cod and a meat tasting. We had a seafood tasting appetizer with three cod courses, all original combinations, and to top it all off, a superb cod cappuccino. The first courses were excellent, including the gluten-free pacchero: the pasta was cooked perfectly. The chef and wait staff are top-notch, passionate about their work and customer service.
A highly recommended culinary experience.

I went there for dinner, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The service was perfect, along with the presentation of the individual dishes. We ordered the cod tasting menu with 6 hot and cold selections, highly recommended: every bite is an experience. Then we sampled two first courses: egg tagliatelle with cod and black truffle, and the cod casket (with filling), each one better than the other. Ask the staff for recommendations on dishes to try (the menu changes throughout the year). The dessert was also good.

We used to absolutely love Da Gianfranco and visited regularly for about two years. If I had written this review back then, it would have been an easy 5/5 - great food, warm service, and those thoughtful touches that made the place stand out.
Unfortunately, our experience this year has been very different. We visited twice, and both times the service felt noticeably worse and less welcoming. One example: before, they used to bring fresh bread with a full bottle of olive oil at the table - simple, generous, and it really matched the restaurant’s character. Now the bread is smaller, and they pour one or two spoonfuls of oil and take the bottle away. Having to ask repeatedly for more doesn’t feel hospitable - it feels awkward and isn’t the experience we remembered.
Beyond that, the portions seem smaller and the taste isn’t as consistent as it used to be.
I’m leaving this review because I genuinely want the restaurant to succeed. This place used to be one of our favorites in the region, and I’d love to see it return to the quality and service that made it special.

The restaurant offers two menus: cod and meat. I chose the former, which is cooked in every sauce. Even though I'm not a fan, it was a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended. I'll be back to try the latter.
