Ristorante Da Fabio In Bologna

This restaurant offers a true gastronomic feast! You have to be prepared to eat so many dishes. This "festival" of appetizers is enough to fill you up and have tried a huge variety of Italian dishes. After all these appetizers, they offer the first course and the second course, but ordering them isn't mandatory. On the contrary, it's unnecessary. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

On recommendation, I ended up at Fabio's with my husband and two sons. It's unusual that you have to ring the bell right at the entrance. A small sign explains the restaurant's concept, but we didn't notice. However, the waiter then verbally informed us that ALL appetizers would be served and we could sample our way through until we said stop. The flat rate per person for appetizers was €35. The table was heaving, and it was clear that a lot of it was going back to the kitchen. Everything was generally good, but we would never have ordered all the offerings. There wasn't anything particularly special either. If you just want to try everything, this is the place for you. It would be interesting to know what happens to all the leftovers? Afterwards, you order pasta or meat/fish, depending on your taste and the space you still have in your stomach. We opted for pici al ragu, which were very good (reasonably priced). Dessert (if you can still manage it) follows the same principle as the appetizers. Except for the mascarpone cream, however, there were no highlights. Only towards the end of our meal did three more guests arrive. I wouldn't go back. The price-performance ratio isn't right for me. Essentially an all-you-can-eat concept with service – will that be a hit?

atmosphere is warm, service is at your own pace. this is an establishment run on vibes and the vibes are chill. some restaurants establish a level of sincerely that i love and this place fits, i’d be a regular if i lived there. make sure to understand how they serve food, i saw a bunch of folk be dissatisfied because they thought they can do a la carte. skip lunch before going, this will be a big meal.

What an unexpected treat. In an upmarket section of the city on the south side this was a fabulous evening of local gastronomy and generous hospitality. The quality of the ingredients and cuisine were exemplary. Our server was the best who anticipated everything and gave good advice. We were four guests and we ordered three bottles to accompany the different courses. His guidance was very helpful and appreciated. No fixed menu with prices - go with the flow and the recommendations. $125pp all in. Well worth it and such a relief from the touristy restaurants of Bologna where every menu has the same dishes, and are mostly disappointing. We look forward to returning.

A dinner at Fabio is not simply a meal, but a real journey through the flavors and hospitality of Emilia. The strong point? Without a doubt the very generous selection of appetizers and desserts: an endless sequence of carefully prepared, tasty dishes, full of personality and tradition. Each course is a surprise, each taste a small pleasure. Making the experience even more enjoyable is the service: the waiter who welcomed us was impeccable. Prepared, attentive, able to put us at ease with naturalness and competence. The perfect balance between professionalism and human warmth. Highly recommended for those who want to experience authentic Bolognese hospitality, in a simple but substantial environment.

If you are in Bologna and love food this is a must go place ! You will have to book the table and prepare for a fiesta! We were a group of 9 and had such a wonderful time. You will be able to taste so many courses so please go really hungry 😋 everyone enjoyed this special meal. It was my 4th time and I didn’t leave disappointed .

The waiter told us to order antipasti and then decide if we want primo or secondo! We ordered antipasti and they bombarded us with different food, mostly vegetables. And afterwards we were too full to order anything else! The quality was good, no complaints there, but I believe they do this and charge you 40€ for it before they clarify how the experience is and how it works! So you'll pay 40€ which is a primo and a secondo at a good restaurant while eating mostly vegetables! If they make this clear before hand, it could be a fun interesting experience but since they don't is feels like a scam! I hope they fix this.
