Ristorante da Enzo In Modena

Absolutely welcome, excellent food especially in relation to the recognized price. In the evaluation I gave 5 stars to everything including the environment which some reviews judge to be a bit outdated, and it's true but in the end it is among the things I appreciated the most, or at least it contributed to creating that now rare sensation of atmosphere of the time, together with the fact that the building itself is historic, in the historic center of Modena, and then the name Enzo with some of his photos, brings us back to imagining dinners with the characters of a few decades ago. The other customers also seemed to be absorbed by this atmosphere, at least on this occasion, adapting naturally and at the same time contributing to making the context original.

Niente di eccezionale…abbiamo pranzato qui per il compleanno di una amica con menu fisso a 38€ (“bis” di primi, gnocco e tigelle, vino, acqua, caffè). Primi nella norma, quello che invece proprio non mi ha convinto è stato lo gnocco fritto…secco, per nulla gonfio. Personale gentile, disponibile e accogliente.

Buonasera. Sono quello a cui gli investigatori vi hanno detto di non farmi alzare per accedere al buffet di verdure, comunque la cotoletta era buona.

It was exactly the type of place I wanted to taste typical Moderna food! Lively and friendly atmosphere especially the lady at the entrance who was exquisite. 2 points but not in favor of the food, lasagna without the bechamel 🤷‍♀️ and the pumpkin tortelli with sausage ragù was full of orange oil, oh well you must be in white not with tomatoes. Win sympathy

Compared to a few years ago, in my opinion it has lost something in terms of service and quality of food

Does the place need a refresh?? Maybe yes, but who cares!! We went for lunch on a Sunday and had a great meal!!! All traditional Modena dishes, from tortellini in broth (a fairy tale), fried gnocco and tigelle with cold cuts!! Secondly, traditional mixed boiled meat is worth a mention!! Very kind, friendly, knowledgeable and competent dining room staff; They can advise you both on wine and on how to spread flavored lard on the tigelle!! Correct price in proportion to what you eat, i.e. homemade and quality products!! I really recommend it!! OPTIMAL

A simple restaurant with typical Emilian cuisine. Very good variety of Lambrusco suggested, gives the possibility of buffet starters. Service so and so: long time to take order; the tigelle served with Nutella, jam and stracchino still in the plastic bag, as if taken from the supermarket shelf. Very good stuffed pasta!! Great traditional trattoria. Emilian dishes, Modenese tradition. Excellent prices.

I recommend 100%. Delicious food, typical Modenese and of good quality. Very efficient and friendly staff. Warm atmosphere we feel at home.

Historic venue in the center of Modena, a stone's throw from the Duomo. The conviviality of the place and the thoughtfulness and friendliness of the young innkeeper and his wife complement the excellent typical Modena cuisine. They do not indulge in dangerous excesses but offer a few beautifully executed and high quality dishes. The local wine options are also excellent. Highly recommended!
