Ristorante Da Beppina In Bardolino

Both rated the prawn pasta as favourite (with pistachio and fresh cheese called stracciatella). Trout pasta from the lake is also very unique and tasty, not that behind the prawn pasta rating. Grilled fish course was so-so, perhaps the pasta were too impressive at the beginning and set a very high expectation for the second course.

Sunday lunch during a trip to Bardolino. Good dishes; we tried the lake fish ones. The dishes were tasty, not too elaborate to showcase the ingredients. Good value. Not a typical tourist trap. Excellent service and atmosphere.

Grilled sea bream was unseasoned/mediocre, vegetables were lukewarm. Fried seafood was okay, baked potato was lukewarm without salt or rosemary/herbs. I've had better food at many restaurants in Bardolino, average at best!

Everything was delicious! Finally, a restaurant that serves lake fish, and it's delicious! I recommend the lake appetizer and the lake carbonara!

In a "tourist" place, it stands out for the quality of its food. Recommended.

We have been loyal regulars at Da Beppina for years and visited the restaurant almost daily during our holidays. Until last year, we would have given it 5 stars without hesitation. The service was always perfect, and the food, whether fish or meat, pasta or main course, was always impeccable. This year, we realized that the price-performance ratio is no longer in line. Until last year, the chef was still in the kitchen himself, and you could taste it. Since this year, Da Beppina has a new chef; the chef works exclusively behind the cash register. The atmosphere among the staff seems rushed and tense, which is noticeable as a guest. The particularly warm atmosphere has disappeared. The portions, especially for meat dishes, have become considerably smaller, but the prices have increased. The quality of the food no longer matches that of previous years. We had the impression that some dishes now use convenience products, i.e., ready-made sauces. That's a shame, because for us, this restaurant has always been the top address for particularly good food and attentive service in Bardolino (we've known the town and the restaurants there for 20 years). We hope that the chef will eventually return to his original quality. Until then, we won't be visiting Da Beppina again.
