A truly wonderful experience at Crotto Valtellina.
You can immediately sense the attention to detail.
The restaurant is welcoming and well-maintained, the staff is friendly, ready to offer advice, attentive, and always smiling.
The dishes were truly delicious; we chose the menu from the historic à la carte menu, and it was a true journey through traditional flavors, all prepared with great care and quality.
A special thanks to the chef, a truly helpful person. He welcomes you, stays at the table if you have questions about the dishes, and greets you at the end of the meal, thanking you for visiting.
We felt pampered from start to finish. A place we'll gladly return to and one I highly recommend.

Excellent food, stunning location, very friendly staff.
The only downside for me is that you have to order two dishes, not including dessert.
Not being a big eater, I'd prefer to eat one dish plus dessert, so I'd go more often.
I recommend it.

Crotto Valtellina impressed me with its breathtaking scenery, its ambiance (a perfect blend of ancient and modern), its warm welcome and inclusive atmosphere (superb value), and, above all, its cuisine. We chose the "Figli dei Fiori" menu, with two surprising dishes: a white asparagus Royale, pickled asparagus, and caviar, and potato gnocchi, melted leek, fir bud vinegar, and pepper water. I was also tempted to try the sciatt, pizzoccheri, and duck, but I only deviated from the menu to try the lamb roll, which was excellent. My sincere compliments to the Valbuzzi family, especially Roberto, who, along with his trusted Marco Fumagalli, offers a culinary offering that ranges from traditional Valtellina dishes (his grandfather's homeland) to dishes that explore the Varese area. High-quality ingredients, carefully selected from local suppliers, in-house foraging, research, technique, and a healthy dose of inclusive creativity combine to create a venue that has always been and continues to be a point of attraction and reference.

A very welcoming place, with a characteristic outdoor cave area, but we declined the outdoor table as it was a bit chilly for the season. The interior dining room was elegant yet rustic at the same time. The service was excellent, and each course was meticulously explained, as were the wine pairings. The pizzoccheri were special and plentiful, local specialties from appetizer (excellent giardiniera) to dessert. We chose a traditional menu with wine pairings, which I must say was a bit too generous, but everything was excellent, even their homemade bread and breadsticks. Thank you, next time I'll try the à la carte menu so I can try other dishes.

It's always a pleasure to dine at Crotto Valtellina. The food and service are top-notch, not to mention the unique atmosphere, at least in the area where the restaurant is located. Roberto wasn't there, but the service and cuisine were impeccable, overseen by his father Leonardo, the guardian of the local Valtellina tradition. The quality/price ratio is excellent for the restaurant's caliber.

Nothing to say, a beautiful setting somewhere between rustic and elegant, impeccable service, and superb food! The chef, who walks around the tables to check if everything is okay, is a real treat!
