By far the best restaurant in Rome, for food quality, service, and location. It exudes history but not sloppiness, with old-fashioned service that's absolutely relevant and deserves to be taught in any hotel management school. The mortadella, made in-house, is excellent. The selection of seasonal vegetables is a rarity these days. The fried food is exceptional, dry, and flavorful.
After countless visits for their fresh pasta, this time I opted for a Milanese, much better than many I've had in Milan itself. The tiramisu and zabaglione were exquisite.
Kudos to the staff, who are qualified, friendly, and extremely attentive.

I went there for lunch. There were other Japanese tour groups there, so it seems to be a popular restaurant.
I had rigatoni amatriciana, saltimbocca a la Romana, a salad, and a fruit salad. It was quite delicious.

The restaurant was suggested to us by one of the receptionists in our hotel. Peaceful environment, very well mannered waiters, treating you with all on time and with a smile on their faces. Plates looking okay, surely delicious and just the right temperature so we didn’t burn our mouths like it generally happens often in restaurants of the kind. We did enjoyed it! The reason why I leave 4 stars instead of 5 though is a tiny moment in which one of the waiters “meow”-ed several times our child. It was just very inappropriate and weird!
God speed, Cesarina! 🥂

So my first night returning into Rome, having been a number of times, I wanted something healthy and typical of Rome. After looking for a while, I chose Cesarina which was not far from my hotel.
What a fantastic place – in one respect the atmosphere feels stuck in some kind of time warp from the 1960s, but the service staff were fantastic (my Italian is horrible, and they were most accommodating).
And the food was typical, traditional. I had the vegetable soup, and after travelling for some time and craving vegetables, this was an absolute godsend. I also tried the tonarelli alla gricia, which was also fabulous. For dessert I finish with the homemade zabaglione gelato - super creamy and rich, so much so that I couldn’t actually finish it. Wine by the glass was also great.
Would recommend if you want a typical Roman meal in an historical setting with excellent waitstaff.
Excellent restaurant, excellent food.
Attentive and professional service.
Definitely recommended for those who want to appreciate Roman cuisine and Roman culture.

Very classic. Bolognese. Old-fashioned service. Minimal but adequate wine list. Dessert trolley. What else?
A place frozen in time, for better or for worse, and more for better.
