Canossa, where time has not moved.
Invited by a friend from Reggio to try the typical cuisine of the area, we were really enthusiastic!
The restaurant has proudly remained in the 70s, the walls and furniture exude the history of the city.
The menu is traditional Emilia, with lots of meat and accompanying sauces, boiled meat is clearly a must! The plating is not important, here the important thing is the authentic flavors and the abundant portions.
The service is familiar, in the sense that you feel just like family and the waiting times are secondary. It is worth highlighting the waiter who serves you directly at the table with the cart of meats still on the fire and cut at the moment, which is something almost folkloristic and for which the price is worth it (which cannot be cheap, given the choice, the quality and the abundance, ed.).
If you are in the Reggio area and want to try real Reggio cuisine, you definitely have to go to Canossa.

We had lunch in 4 we had a great time, the first courses were spectacular and the boiled meat was superlative. Vintage atmosphere but we liked it a lot, impeccable service!!!
If we pass by Reggio again we will definitely stop by.

The place has the flavor of the restaurants of the past, but not in a refined sense, but rather authentic!!! I go there every now and then and it hasn't changed in 50 years (I went there for the 1st time in 1975...). Even the flavor of the cuisine hasn't changed!!! Excellent, original and with healthy roots from Reggio. The boiled meat trolley is a MUST!!! But finishing with zuppa inglese is a must.

Come sempre non delude mai il ristorante Canossa con le sue pietanze e il suo staff. Carrello dei bolliti e degli arrosti al top, buona la cotoletta alla bolognese, i tortelli conditi con il burro freddo e la lasagna un pelino asciutta. Dolci davvero deliziosi.
