Ristorante Caffe' Garibaldi In Vicenza

I had "verigni' paccheri in the usual, excellent Italian tomato sauce with chili. (They said verigni' meant the pasta was somehow worked with gold?) Paccheri are a Sicilan pasta type, I believe; these were very large rigatoni, sort of, quite al dente, so each one --there were nearly a dozen in the bowl-- was a mouthful. It was delicious, superbly Italian. You sit inside, but surrounded by glass walls right in the middle of town, directly across the splendid "basilica palladiana," a great spot. I tried the local red, Villa Minelli, but sent it back as too acidic, too likely to spoil the food. They brought me a Tuscan bio selvatico (a Sangiovese, I suppose), and It was great. So was the bread. The service was brisk, not quite brusque, as befitting a very Northern-minded Italian locale.

Sunday lunch at the Bistrot, excellent grilled meat, an Iberian pig and a lamb. The matching glasses of wine recommended by the sommelier were right, the service was excellent

I had the pleasure of having lunch yesterday in this beautiful place recommended by a friend. Impeccable service and excellent preparation with quality dishes. Lots of stuff!

Excellent food, enviable location, friendly and polite staff even if not super organised. In general a good place to have an aperitif and to have dinner. The dishes are refined but without exaggeration. Prices a little higher than normal but the location has its importance.

Amazing place to go to for a really really good croissant! Friendly service and beautiful place. Small small thing, make sure you’re not sitting inside nearby the entrance door in the autumn/winter. The door doesn’t close automatically and a lot of customers leave the door open which makes it cold.

Provata recentemente la nuova gestione del Garibaldi: assolutamente impressione positiva per questo primo pranzo veloce! Personale giovane, cortese e decisamente più attento rispetto alla precedente gestione: speriamo continui così!
