Erika and Alessandro are two wonderful and incredibly helpful people. It's wonderful to talk to them and stay in their little corner of paradise. I had a wonderful experience of total relaxation and escape from the chaotic world of Rome. The food is delicious. Try Sara's cakes, they're magnificent.

A magical and rejuvenating place! For me, the Sant'Egle farmhouse is a paradise, and it's exactly what I was looking for and needed to recharge my batteries. Like all places, it's not for everyone, so I'll start here since I'd like to be concise but I can't. It's not for you if vacation means resort-style entertainment and television, if you can't live without in-room Wi-Fi and air conditioning, or if you're intolerant of nature and insects/critters (on the other hand, there are no mosquitoes or flies!). Just in case of doubt, I should point out that insects and critters are harmless and go about their business, and that it's cool in the evenings and you can sleep well with the window open and a fan if you want: the walls are very thick, so the insulation works excellently in every sense. It's the perfect place for you if you're looking for peace and quiet, if you want to relax in an exclusive and soothing space that seems out of time and space, where you can have breakfast with your feet in the fresh grass, watch fairytale sunsets and a star-filled sky, find excellent organic products, but also do yoga or swim in the saltwater pool that doesn't burn your skin and makes you float like you're at the sea... a spectacle that alone is worth the trip! I found it somewhat by chance, because I was looking for a place to try floating (sensory deprivation). Floating in itself is an incredibly relaxing experience that I recommend everyone try, but it's even more so when amplified by the setting of Sant'Egle: stepping out and not being in the middle of city traffic but in absolute peace and seeing nothing but greenery as far as the eye can see... I can't imagine a better way to do it! Floating aside, the entire stay was truly rejuvenating and comfortable, exceeding expectations: the breakfast was excellent, generous and catered to all tastes, including their own organic spirulina, which I greatly appreciated; the Classic Suite was beautiful and very original, with spacious rooms and everything you could possibly need, a huge shower, and a bathtub overlooking the garden; impeccable cleanliness in both the room and the common areas, with immaculate white sheets and towels; top-quality toiletries directly from their organic shop were available in the room for the duration of the stay; the "osteria senza oste" (host-free restaurant) and the option to help yourself to whatever you wanted, whether to drink or eat, and note it on the sheet to pay at checkout; the garden was truly well-kept with plenty of space to relax. The mattress in our room was quite firm; being used to a much softer one, I wasn't entirely convinced at first, but I changed my mind because I slept well. Sant'Egle also proved to be an excellent base for discovering some of the wonders of this stunning part of Italy: in just a few minutes, you can reach the tuff towns of Sorano, Sovana, and Pitigliano, and in half an hour, the Saturnia Mill Waterfalls or Lake Bolsena. I believe the Tuscan Maremma is incredibly beautiful and underrated, and offers great opportunities away from mass tourism. Erika and Alessandro are truly kind and hospitable, always available and full of advice that I greatly appreciated. Honestly, dreaming up a place like Agriturismo Sant'Egle is not something anyone could do; creating it and making it work is magical, and having all this magic available to guests is a huge gift. There's so much work behind it, and you can see they do it with passion... we can only compliment them and say thank you! Thanks also to Sarah, for your smiles and your sweetness. While I wait to return, hopefully soon, I'm trying to find some of the well-being I brought back with me at home thanks to the products from the organic shop, which I think I'll never leave!

This place will forever remain in our hearts! We wanted to escape the city, the chaos, and the constant frenzy, and we completely succeeded... Erika and Alessandro are two special people, kind, helpful, and never intrusive. You can see how committed they are to this pursuit of biodiversity and respect for nature in all its forms in every little detail of the property, from the pool to the chicken coop (say hello to Ilde), from the rooms to the breakfast (Elena is amazing with the cakes and all the preparations).
