If you truly need to disconnect from civilization, this spots for you. This is a challenging spot to stay as a foreigner. Without cell service or wifi it makes creating a list of things to do challenging. We would have to go into town to try and find wifi so we could look up restaurants and activities. They gave us an old list of places they recommend, but we were unable to book reservations, or see menus without access to cell service or wifi. The property itself is historic and very pretty, but they also have 2 ponds on the property producing a large quantity of bugs and mosquitoes making enjoying the pool or outdoor areas very hard to use. The room was hot and didn’t have AC. You are given 2 choice. Sleep with the windows open and get bit by bugs and get a slightly cooler room. Or sleepy with the windows closed and deal with the high temperatures. Watching the chickens was my favorite part of the stay. If you relay on modern technology, I cannot recommend this accommodation.
