Definitely great place to eat with outstanding service. We had a signature menu (which consists of their very best dishes as I understand) and also business lunch, everything was very good, but not everything was WOW. Risotto from business lunch was much better than pizzaiola risotto from signature menu, roasted eel has deeply dissapointed me (I'm a big fan of unagi). Desserts from signature menu were not good enough while chocolate cake with mint sorbe was very surprising. In general we enjoyed our meals very much, bust expected a little bit more from this highly rated place.

Compleanno (non il mio) da festeggiare e prima visita in questo ristorante stellato nel centro di una Milano sempre più esagerata in tutto, dal traffico ai costi al metro quadro degli immobili per finire all'opulenza degli edifici ultima generazione. Il ristorante Berton è paradigma di questa nuova Milano, e ci ha accolto in una location di rara moderna bellezza, in cui il minimalismo e la cura maniacale al dettaglio la fanno da padroni, ad iniziare dalla bravissima e bellissima addetta all'ingresso, una ragazza di finezza e grazia che mettono subito il cliente (specie se uomo) a proprio agio. Dello stesso eccellente livello i responsabili di sala e gli addetti ai tavoli, che sfoggiano tra l'altro un outfit secondo me bellissimo.
Abbiamo scelto (eravamo in tre) il menù degustazione porta nuova, e devo dire che l'esperienza, fin dalle cialde di benvenuto, è stata entusiasmante: dal carciofo alla griglia al gelato al topinambur tutto il percorso ci ha meravigliosamente sorpreso: carciofo eccellente, fungo portobello squisito, gamberi rossi al curry e cocco sublimi, fusilli ai ricci di mare spettacolari, sogliola alla mugnaia incredibile, agnello extrasensoriale, così come la pasticceria di chiusura servita da un carrello che mi ha ricordato Star Trek. Purtroppo i nuovi limiti del codice della strada mi hanno obbligato a stare molto morigerato col vino un eccellente bianco austriaco gruner veltliner, cui avrei volentieri affiancato un pinot nero per l'agnello.
Molto raffinati anche i saluti "con bonbon" di chef Berton in persona nelle cucine, a chiusura di una serata fantastica, macchiata purtroppo nella sua ultima mezz'ora da zaffate di aria gelida provenienti dall'ingresso: non credo sia impossibile allestire un separatore di ambiente. Un piccolo neo che non turba l'assoluta eccellenza di questo ristorante, inevitabilmente non economico, ma che fa bene al corpo ed allo spirito, mix perfetto di eleganza, comodità e bontà.
Sicuramente torneremo, magari in primavera inoltrata.

The restaurant environment is modern and elegant
I ordered Porta Nuova for 165 euros
I ordered two dishes for 100 euros for my baby.
It's quite humane to be able to order a single order.
💚 Side dishes
- The slices are delicious and the shape of the building is interesting
- The five small dishes are very unique, and the cucumber tart and broccoli tart are both memorable. What impressed me the most was the red stick, which was flavored with amaranth and made into the shape of a stick of the amaranth plant.
🤍 Appetizers
- Grilled artichokes with clam sauce and caviar, like
- Mushroom meeting, a bit salty. But the highlight is the small sip of blueberry yogurt cream on the lid, which immediately balances the taste.
- Red shrimp with seaweed, the shrimp meat is delicious and very firm. There is really a lobster on the shrimp crackers🦞, and the baby was so happy to eat it
❤️ Main course
- I ordered sea urchin spiral noodles for my baby. The sauce was delicious, but my baby said the sea urchin was just average (not as delicious as the Hokkaido one).
- I had pigeon lasagna. Oh my God, it was just one layer. It was similar to the egg dumplings my mother made... but the pigeon meat under the skin was pretty good. Served with pigeon leg-shaped pastry, the taste is average and the picture is interesting.
- The grilled eel is quite good, plump and tender. Served with beetroot and yoghurt, the checkerboard decoration is my favorite
- The other fish was just average, nothing memorable except for the black sesame sauce.
- Mutton is average, too fat, I don’t like it
🩵 Dessert
- Chocolate soufflé, it’s interesting to watch the process of making it, but the finished product is average in appearance, basically just like an ice cream tube.
- There is a dessert counter after eating, with chocolates of your choice
- I also gave a small red velvet cake for my birthday. Thank you to the store.

It’s a Miyi with good value for money.
The dishes are creative and of high quality (ordered by quality: Side dishes > Appetizers > Main dishes > Desserts)
The service is just right, meticulous but measured
