Ristorante Benilde In Bologna

Found it by chance one Sunday for lunch. The first courses were fabulous, the Fiorentina steak was excellent, I even cleaned the bone. The fries fried in lard!!! A world heritage site! I would put a little more care into the cleanliness of the bar and the restaurant in general, without changing the trattoria style, which remains its strong point!

Very good food, excellent. But it's very hot inside, and the service is very slow. We arrive at 8 pm and finish at 11 pm.

In my opinion, it's truly the best. I haven't found such an excellent restaurant within hundreds of kilometers. I discovered it while frequently passing between Bologna and Florence, and now I go there from Veneto specifically! Located a few kilometers from the panoramic road, it offers stunning views, fresh air, and a relaxing atmosphere. Parking is almost always available, but when it's full, it's hard to find one right away. Anyone who goes to Benilde will always return. Superb home cooking, spectacular ingredients, including seasonal specialties like prugnoli, delicious and light homemade pasta, everything is delicious. And the main courses? First, try anything grilled: he's a master at cooking, and the meat is top-quality, whether chicken, pork, or beef. The house wine is above average. And don't miss the wood-fired pizza in the evening—good, digestible, and made with truly excellent ingredients. Highly recommended!
