Trattoria Monari In Marzabotto

I've known this place for decades, so I wouldn't dwell on the location, service, and presentation as many have. If you know the place, you know what, how, and where. You have to appreciate it for what it is. However, I must say that in my last experience, I no longer found the price to be in line with what I've seen. It's truly unfortunate; to sustain certain prices, you have to give a little more because you're competing with other establishments that actually offer something more.

A traditional trattoria, run like it once was. If you're looking for sophisticated service, this isn't the place for you. Simple but authentic, it's like eating with family. Excellent food (call ahead for availability and menu). Recommended.

"Antica Trattoria Monari" is what the entrance says, and it truly feels like stepping back in time to a time when flavors and tastes had something special! Highly recommended!

Fabulous table settings still exist…

We felt like we'd stepped back in time. Such unique and authentic places are rare these days. As the owners say, few things are done well. Thanks for the lovely lunch!

The food is wonderful... what they prepare... being family-run and by reservation only!!! It's like being at home 😂... but they cook great!!!
