Ci siamo capitati con la mia famiglia per il compleanno di mio papà. Che dire se cercate un ristorante tipico , con gli ingredienti quelli di una volta e fatto in casa..questo è il locale per voi. Sembra di mangiare a casa! La titolare e non solo davvero gentili, il prezzo davvero ottimo.

We (couple, 30 & 33 years old) were looking for an authentic Italian restaurant that was not primarily designed for tourism. The Pignate restaurant is just such a hidden highlight! Eat: The food, from starter to main course and dessert, was excellent overall, both in taste and quality. The seafood appetizer platter is very large, so you can share it. In addition to scallops, clams and prawns, there was typical Cozze in an incredibly tasty marinade and squid salad. The hostess recommended fish for the main course. This was fresh, very well prepared and beautifully presented. We were also given excellent advice when it came to dessert. “Meringata” didn’t mean anything to us, but it turned out to be the perfect ending in the form of an ice cream cake with meringue and nuts. It's worth a visit for the food alone and we'll definitely come back whenever we're in the area! Ambiance: The restaurant was decorated in a typically Italian style by Nonna - who has been entertaining guests at Pignate for over 50 years. It's cozy and you have a thousand things to look at: from pictures to a free-standing grill to slippers on the wall. The restaurant simply has history and it is incredibly nice to immerse yourself in it. Service: Excellent and absolutely deserves its five stars. The nonna of the house looked after us first-class, shared her recommendations with us and also a few words of wisdom on how to eat our fish in the original Italian way (luckily!). The Pignate is an insider tip for us. It is also a real oasis of peace and good food in Bibione & Lignano, which is inundated with tourists! Thank you for the wonderful evening, we would love to come back. P.s. Dogs are also welcome here! Another plus point from our side!

We had a wonderful lunch, abundant and exceptional fried fish. Perfect service and a more than honest bill. Absolutely recommended.
