Ristorante Amici In Varese ligure

We stopped a few nights in Varese Ligure and stayed at the historic Albergo Amici. An excellent experience. The atmosphere is reminiscent of times gone by, yet offers all the modern comforts. The hotel and restaurant staff are extremely friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and fully equipped. The restaurant offers traditional local dishes, prepared with care and an innovative touch. The breakfast is generous and suitable for everyone. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

Clean room. The furnishings were a bit dated. The quick and complete breakfast was excellent, and they serve it early so those traveling don't have to wait.

Since I was little, I've enjoyed the cuisine at "Amici," a historic and timeless restaurant in the best sense of the word. From the furnishings to the atmosphere of the dining room, it feels like reliving the atmosphere of a noble Liguria of yesteryear. I personally enjoy the great classics, like the "tuccu" ravioli, which I usually order in a portion for three people! In general, everything is delicious and well-cooked; last night, among other things, I ate some truly special, fresh fried mushrooms. A special mention goes to the Marcone family, who have always owned the establishment, and especially to Michela for her ever-present kindness and courtesy.

A great place that we highly recommend. The welcome couldn't be warmer, and the products are fresh, local, and deliciously prepared. A real treat, thank you very much!

Clean hotel, comfortable beds. I would also like to highlight the work of the entire staff. They are kind and helpful. True hosts. Unfortunately, the refrigerator does not work in the room. I recommend the place for two people.

A historic hotel in the area, probably still family-run. Well-kept both inside and out. The structure itself, being historic, can seem a bit dated, it harks back to the old style of previous years and at first glance may not seem too modern. The staff is kind and helpful, especially regarding requests for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet, while for lunch and dinner it can be à la carte or if you are staying there you are asked to fill out a previously delivered form. The only flaw, which considering the structure can also be acceptable, is the lack of a minimum of air conditioning in the rooms, which however, to my surprise, could turn out to be almost unnecessary given that in the evening and at night there is quite a lot of wind and fresh air. During the day, however, it is quite muggy and also accompanied by humidity. All in all, it was a pleasant stay. The structure can be excellent for spending some time in the middle of the mountains and nature. The whole village is also very pleasant and interesting to visit, with various typical refreshment points.

Ristorante molto famsoso e frequentato a Varese Ligure, con una sala molto bella e ricca, una mise en place di effetto ed un servizio al tavolo molto curato. Flan buono ma "caldo/freddo" effetto del riscaldamento non perfetto, ravioli acquistati, che riconoscerei fra mille, ma ragù buono a mio gusto, corzetti con salsa di pinoli discreta ma forse più pinoli e meno parmigiano, stecchi alla genovese fritti nel latte brusco un poco pesantini mentre buoni i crocchini nelle ostie. Piccolo rammarico per la zuppa inglese, anch'essa con due temperature differenti, gelata al centro e quasi calda esternamente, purtroppo non presentata come dovrebbe essere in coppa ma tagliata a pezzi. Sono un amante di questo dolce... Da riprovare perchè merita il viaggio

Sala arredata in modo sobrio, posate d'argento, un po' rumorosa, personale gentilissimo e attento, menu tipico della zona, buona carta dei vini. Croxetti alla ligure in salsa di pinoli eccellenti, agnello al forno: poca carne tante ossa, tomaxelle al sugo: niente di che sono involtini senza gloria senza infamia, per fortuna c'è il sugo che li ammorbidisce un po'. Contorni delicati. Dolci nella norma, senza particolari specialità. Prezzo medioalto. Dispone di parcheggio, ma ci sono le scale da fare.
